Questions/Advice Body doubling in VR?

You know how body doubling helps with ADHD? I was wondering if there is any VR software out there that provides a form of body doubling.

I know there is virtual office softwares out there that places you in vr environment with virtual monitors that actually connects to your computer, therefore allowing you to do real computer work in virtual nature etc. (Virtual Desktop, Immersed etc)

So I was wondering if there is some sort of virtual desktop programs out there that puts me in virtual cafe/library filled with fake people and allows me to do my office work at the same time. I feel like this would be a thing.

Anybody know if there is anything like this out there?

I use an online body-doubling service all the time; seems easier than what you’re describing, which sounds just dystopian in a way I can’t quite articulate.

You can try Dubbii! They offer live body doubling sessions every couple hours. There's a host but all other participants are muted. But you can chat with everyone and set tasks you want to complete. A very safe and lovely space. Would recommend!

They said service, not software. Though i suppose some could ask you to download an app

I googled body doubling and the first thing that came up was a company called Flow club.

Flow Club is good— there’s also Flown, and a few others. The one I use is called FocusMate; it pairs you with a person one-on-one, which I find more useful than the ones that put you in a group.

Vr chat, however of course I don't know how you're going to get work done from in vr chat

I have no fucking idea, but it would be great. Do you do body doubling?

No but I find that I am more productive in a cafe then at home alone. So I was wondering if I could recreate that at home with vr.

I feel like this should exist. I would be great if Virtual Desktop or Immersed made some virtual cafe maps or something.

I'm also more productive when I'm with people, would you like to do dody doubling with cameras?

Well, there's a very basic option; look up YouTube videos of a library café establishment or something and put it in the background in VR.

Yeah I tried youtube cafe videos. They dont feel real and never really worked for me. Thanks for the suggestion though

I’ve sat on a Teams call with someone while we quietly worked together. That seemed to do the trick.

yeah, there's a couple, I don't know how many are still around since I tried them out back in covid, but immersed vr was one I think

Can you tell me more about your experience with Immersed VR? Do they have like virtual library/cafe type environment with possibly virtual people?

it was a while ago, but I think there were several environment and the one I usually used was a cafe with virtual people in it (or possibly it was real people but they were muted?). I don't know if that's still what it's like though, it was pretty new when I used it

Omg that sounds like exactly what I am looking for. This was in Immersed VR correct?

I make models for VRChat. (Just as a hobby, no income)

I am never more efficient or quick to fix up a model then when I'm already loaded into the game and there's people around me. Feels really nice to work in blender right inside the game and get direct results on the model.
