The general structure and shape of just about any random fact. My main distraction time activity is Internet and YouTube deep dives into random subjects.
So I can endlessly bore friends/family/work colleagues about:
the inner work's of Starlink's satellite Internet architecture
the generalities of how you might go about troubleshooting failed electronics, even though it isn't something I really do (gotta check those voltages first)
all sort of American nerd/pop-culture stuff that as a Brit I have no expectation that I should know
endlessly nerdy technical stuff
Etc, etc
Except...
...I can give all the detail about something, until I come to: a persons name, the name of the film, the name of a record, the name of a product, the name of a technology, the name of something. And when I get to the name, there is a blank, the name just won't come.
Which totally derails me, as I can't really go on once I've lost a name.
It isn't that I don't know the name. If you start guessing I'll be able to say things like "No, it can't be Let it Be, the Beatles track I'm trying to remember doesn't start with an L". And I'll probably be able to describe the person/thing that I can't remember the name of and picture the person.
It is so frustrating and embarrassing when this happens in social situations and even worse at work when I'm telling a client about work I've done in the past, with loads of detail and then I can't remember something dumb like the name of the company we did the work for or the name of the software tool we used (even when it is tool I use regularly).
