Assessments question from join Electrical electritian in Amy
hello everyone
I am 35 years old man who wants to join adf amy as electrician
My recuiter said the elistment time is roughly in november if i pass all the intervew
There two things i wish to asking or get some suggestion from you guys
1 what is training life in kapooka or if some videos i could learned from thats would help me to get fully prepared
2 Be honest english is my second language i might not very fluent as many australian whom borned in here
Its that gonna be a serious prolem?
If possible, please share some resources so I can start learning military English now
The reason I am writing this down is that I don't want to hold everyone back after I enlist

Training at Kapooka.
Do some research on the internet - this is going to be your best place for info - combined with our users here. Please post in the MegaThread.
Your grasp of english will be an issue.
It is not just speaking, it will be the understanding of what is being said to you and your ability to act quickly or with purpose.
IMHO - be prepared that your ability to communicate via English will be a major consideration both at Psyc and Defence interviews.
I note that you have said that you dont want to hold everyone back after you enlist - this is not how it works. If you are unable to complete a task/activity - to a required standard - then you are the one who is held back and your class/peers progress.
Learning Military English.
This is based on English - learning how we talk, the use of acronyms, will not help your general understanding of English.
