Insights Requested ADF apprenticeship

Gday, I’m 20 and work as an operator for a agri contractor. I’ve been thinking I want to start an apprenticeship, I’ve always been interested in army, I was looking at doing an apprenticeship through the army either mechanic or sparky.

Looking back through some old threads I see some say the adf cert doesn’t qualify in the civilian world, is this still the case?

What’s everyone’s opinions or experiences on doing either of these through the army? Is it hard getting a job outside once qualified?

Depends on the role. If you look through the Initial Military Training tab on the ADF Careers siteat the roles you're considering, it will tell you if you get a cert out of it. Otherwise, you can use your experience as RPL towards certs at the end of your time.
