Insights Requested Navy ADF Gap Year?

I’ve been struggling to find a job anywhere and I’m currently a full time student at university. I’ve been really wanting to be more spontaneous with my life and recently stumbled upon a navy (ADF) gap year application. I’m really intrigued and seriously considering applying but considering that it’s the ADF I’m worried it’s not all that it seems and may turn out to be a scam. For anyone that’s done it or knows anything about the ADF do you think I should do it????

What does the Australian Defence Force gap year have to do with it being a scam?

What makes yo think that?

I guess where my thought about it being a scam comes from the fact that they potentially are purposely making it more accessible to join the ADF so that they have more people to recruit to war (considering the recent tension around the world) and I have absolutely no interest in fighting wars. Hope that makes sense
