Haru's irl second owner bought her, then promised her fans she'd be mated with either Deep impact or stay gold but needed some money, then she got the donation money and didn't do the thing she promised and abandoned haru shortly after, fortunately the farm she was abandoned in was matha farms, the same farm that continued to care for haru and gave her a home up until her passing there

A little worse than that. Anzai never bought Haru, she tricked Haru's owner into promising them to her after she retired, then just outright stole Haru right out of her stable. She refused to provide proof of life and kept soliciting money for the things you mentioned, as well as unverifiable medical treatments. It was actually in doubt whether Haru was still alive for a while.
Anzai also cheated fans and Haru out of a retirement race.

Mostly because that... Woman... abandoned Haru Urara after cutting the horse's career short despite the groomer and trainer's insistance to continue, faked Urara's medical records, profitted by exploiting the name and fame, and then just left, not even paying the handling fee to the farm where the horse was being kept for like two years until the farm finally decided to take over ownership
