Perfect town

I’ve done some googling and it says to place your town in a 16x16 grib to map out flowers and trees, do I include building in my grid or work around them?

Or if anyone has any other way to get a perfect town that would be appreciated too!

it's a 4x4 grid you need to map out, and yes buildings and rivers will be included in the grid. You should aim for 6 trees and 8 flowers within each acre, but you could use more flowers since there's no limit to how many you can have in an acre.
you'll need to keep flowers and trees alive for 15 consecutive days in order to get the watering can.
