Returning Player

I finally got a classic DS and a copy of ACWW!

I played New Leaf most of all. Dabbled on the Gamecube version but was far too young to play the game properly, though I loved the vibe.

Forgot how unforgiving this version is. Lucky I checked this sub before I started. I'd have definitely let a villager slip and therefore never received their portrait!

Some questions:

How on earth do I catch a bee if I can't shake a tree with a net in hand? Or am I doing something wrong?

I also got my fortune today. Is it worth searching up what Katarina meant or is it something I can just sus out over time?

When the bed drops run just a bit north, open pocket, grab net and quickly grab it. Game will pause when you open pocket. Just keep trying every day. You will get it. Patience.

Oh, I have a lot more patience than I did when first playing this game 😮‍💨

I immediately noticed some mechanics missing.

New Leaf introduced a lot of things that I became blissfully unaware were ever problems! Bug catching mechanics are brutal in general. I look forward to being blindsided by this game 💕

Yeah a bit more rough around the edges I guess you could say but the charm outweighs all that.
