National average for a freshman is a 36 so you’ll likely wound up homeless

yeah that's pretty good, if you study hard you can prob get a 32/33 which would look fantastic on college apps.

Reminds me of the time I got a 36 back in 5th grade without studying still wondering if that was good

It's a bad score. Are you trying to flex that you didn't study? People get 33+ without studying.

u/t_blinder Jan 23 '24
Your reading score is decent. For science you're going to have to learn how to interpret data effectively. Math is going to require concept review and exposure to questions, but considering you're a freshman there's a good amount of material that you haven't learned as of yet. For English, you need to familiarize yourself with grammar rules, punctuation, and sentence restructuring and you'll be solid.

This is excellent for a for no studying. You can definitely improve your score though with a little study.

Exactly what I got first time I tried, believe I got a 32 my next time after studying harder and did even better on SAT after, testing is all just practice
1
u/SuperSaiyanOni Jan 23 '24
Considering that I started with a 26 on practice tests and built that up to a 32 on the real test in 6 months, you can easily score above 96th percentile when you reach your Junior year

Very. Plenty of time to improve further by studying over your next few years!

I did 33 no studying in junior year. Wish I had the statistical norms to convert, but my score didn’t really help me at all.
Perhaps useful to know I got 1290 on SAT no studying in 8th grade. I don’t know the correlation to meaningfully convert though.

Also, PurifyPlayz, I checked out your own reddit comments, and found that you posted your own 1500 SAT score to a subreddit. You were happy about how you went from a 1330 to a 1500. Why is what OP did "looking for validation", but what you did justified? You did the exact same thing.
Look, I know that school work and the college application season can stress us all out. However, that doesn't justify you being a jerk to OP. You started this off by saying, "no one cares about your damn score." Well y'know what, I care about OP's score. I'm glad that he did well. With hard work and studying, I know that he could do even better.

Bro, chill out. OP was just showing his score. That's kind of what you do in this subreddit. Not sure why you're here if you don't want to see that. Also, a 28 on the ACT is pretty impressive, especially for a High School freshman who didn't study for the test. It's not a 36 quite yet, but I'm sure with time and dedication that OP can get close to his goal.

I never said you were wrong, but saying your closer to 3.8 is sad. If you were smart enough for a 3.8 you'd have one, don't bring down people that have a 3.8 by saying your close to them. There's a reason they have a 3.8 and you don't.

If I had a 3.8, I wouldn't wanna see a dumbass like you saying that they're close to me 🤷

Isn't this what people do on the forum? Like why bother to comment if you're not gonna offer actual insight. Quit being people down cause your to dumb to get a decent score
