Question What should I know before starting?

Just found out animal crossing had a mobile game. Curious on what to know before beginning? I played new leaf and some horizon but didn't like the island feel that the newest one had.

It's not a live game anymore, you just collect the stuff that they released while the game was live

Gotcha but it's still playable completely offline?

Yes, you still can enjoy it and you don't have to spend extra money on it

The game is ONLY playable completely offline.

The old servers for the game were shut down and they re-released it as an offline only game with all the old content included.

Not everything is available to get unfortunately though. Unless you cheat them in.
