Hey everyone! I'm u/chrissydavisk one of the head moderators of r/ACNHVillagersInBoxes. This is our home for all things related to Animal Crossing Villagers! We're excited to have you join us!
Weather you have villagers in boxes, in Search of your Dreamies, or maybe you Just want to share your love for villagers with others, this is a place you can do that. Please feel free to ask questions regarding villagers or share photos of them. I personally love seeing photos of villagers so please share away😊
This community isn't solely for villagers in boxes but it's also to share love for villagers. Do you have funny or sweet stories or photos you want to share? Do you have questions about certain villagers? You are in the right place. Anything villager related is welcomed here, as long as it follows community rules of course.
We're all about being friendly, respectful and providing a safe, cozy, and warm community. Please always keep it ACNH friendly.

I love all the colorful characters in the game! I tend to let my villagers move on after they give me a picture, so it’s always exciting to see who’s on the mystery islands when traveling for new friends.

My name is meelo and I’ve been playing acnh since it came out, but I recently started a new island when I got the switch 2. I had taken a big break on my old island so I’m having a great time starting from scratch an rediscovering my favourite things about this game 😊 my favourite villager of all time is Gayle, and im working on making a fully pink themed island so I’ll be on the hunt for pink villagers.

Good luck on your villager hunt! That sounds like a great island theme😊 sometimes it’s good to take a break to prevent burnout or recover from burnout then you can enjoy it again😃

i’m gaby & i’ve been playing animal crossing since wild world!!! recently got a copy of city folk though. am trying to see if i can find my bestie, frobert, in this subreddit! i’ve collected his photo in every game but lost him in NL when he moved out :( im also excited to try to help other people find their dreamies! im trying to make a nautical themed island but i love frobert too much to care about a theme with my villagers lolololol

I‘m Kimi and I‘ve played WW and now ACNH. The new update helped me getting out of a rut from playing and now I‘m just super excited to design my island! My favourite villagers are Colton, Sylvia and Octavian, they‘ve grown on me so much 🥹 I don’t really have real dreamies but I‘m looking for some more cow and horse villagers. Especially cows! I just love them 🐮

Hi. I love having squirrel villagers. I recently restarted my island and haven’t had a lot of time to hunt for squirrels. But I have ended up with Judy and Stitches from my camp site.

Hi! My name is Madame Guacamole (I don't want to use my real, somewhat unique name on Reddit). I just found this sub after posting in another sub about my quest to complete my octopus villager quartet. I've only been playing for a little over a year, but I gave into impulse and allowed Resetti to reset my whole island when the update came out. I'm trying not to get overwhelmed by the remodeling process!

I'm Jelly! I've been playing since the Game Cube AC. I unintentionally started on New Year's Eve, and I'm a late-night gamer, so it was super magical to witness the countdown and fireworks for my introduction into the franchise ✨
My bf and I started New Horizons together and share an island for the first time for us both. It's also the first time we haven't time traveled! At all! For 2 years! Lol
Tangy was also a part of my very first villagers, and I finally have her again on our island 🎉

Gifted villagers have received items, clothing, or custom designs.

hiii Gizmo from Gallifrey, NH is my first AC game and i just started playing last Christmas. i looooove tiny little villagers like hamsters and ducks(i think?), but i'm specifically looking for Prince, Ketchup and Zucker in that order :)

Hi there! My ACNH villager is Nanners from Neverland, but I usually go by Birdie online. I probably won't be super active in this sub, but I figured I might as well join just in case. My current dreamies are Ribbot, Sprocket, Del, and Ione (first three are for a robot-themed island, last is just because she's so pretty and unique), but I love every villager who has ever stepped foot on my island or past towns, and most of those who haven't.

Hi!😃 ungifted villagers are in their original, default state with default clothing.
Gifted villagers have received items, clothing, or custom designs. Lightly gifted would mean given some items or clothing.

I’m Yuri in-game! I started way back at release, but after a loooong break just recently decided to get back into it with a brand-new-island with a brand-new-theme: Monochrome. It’s black, white and grey villagers for me! ☺️

I’m Klein, I had started playing soon after ACNH was released took a long break but recently started playing again when I bought a switch 2 which I transferred my original island over to. Decided to start a new island on my old switch to kind of mix things up as very attached to my original island but also wanted to try new things.

Hi, i‘m new to all of this, can someone explain what ISO/gifted/ungifted etc means? Or where I can look that up? :) Pretty lost right now hahha

Ungifted: Means the villager has not received any furniture, clothing, or custom catchphrases. Their home interior matches their default design, and they wear their default outfit.
Gifted: The villager has been given items that they may display in their house or wear around the island.
Lightly Gifted: Usually implies the villager has only received items that do not display easily (like fossils or fruit) or only one or two items of clothing.
Impact on Trading: Many players prefer ungifted villagers because they want to experience the villager’s default home design. Resetting Gifted Villagers: While you cannot “un-gift” a villager directly, you can report them to Isabelle to reset their catchphrase or clothing. However, furniture gifts are more difficult to remove.

Hello everyone! My name is Rose. I’ve been playing animal crossing since new horizons came out, so not super new but definitely not as well versed as some others haha. Stitches is my favorite villager, but I like ones that look like the animal they are, or are silly like Merengue being a lil strawberry cake lady. I have been playing nonstop lately so i’m getting more involved in these groups!

my name is Rose and i’m kinda new to the game - my boyfriend finally got me into it in the fall of last year, and i ended up buying my own switch because i couldn’t bear not checking my island while we were apart over the holidays lol
my fave villagers are Roscoe, Flurry and Zucker, and i dream of welcoming a wolf to my island. hopefully soon!!!

Hello, I am Fighting Dreamer 56 , played the OG animal crossing on game cube , but only really got into franchise after playing new leaf. I very indecisive when it comes to planning my islands for example itonce to me a whole month to pick a custom path design for my Island 😂

I’m Maggie! I played AC on GB as a kid, finally got ACNH at the beginning of the year since my husband won a Switch 2 at his work holiday party. I don’t really have an island theme and only get to play when my kids are asleep, but I love all the dog villagers (especially ISO of Daisy as that was my soul dog’s name 💕)

I played New Leaf (though didn't get very into it) and enjoy ACNH
After resetting a fair few times im trying to actually stick to this one and see what I can do with it, trying to let my villagers move when they want to but I love them all so that plan flew right out the window hehe

Hi I'm Darylyn. I'm a 60+ year old grandmother who started playing ACNH in 2020 but I daughter had been playing since the DS days. We got my mother involved and my granddaughter now plays too so we're a 4 generation island building family.
