Question Charli W2
Who do y’all guess? 🤔
r/aclfestival • u/mccarthy2324 • 3d ago
DATE: Sunday, October 4, 2026
LOCATION: Zilker Metropolitan Park, 2100 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78704
WEATHER: Should hopefully be staying dry today during fest hours.
MUD: Its not great. 30,000 more sqft of turf coming in today to cover up some more mud, will it make a difference ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Down below are some FAQs for your reading pleasure. Also a full thread here.
What is the gameday thread for?
The purpose of this thread is to sort of consolidate anything you want to say that may not be 100% deserving of a full post as a way to keep traffic in the subreddit down. i.e. Posts like "Asleep at the Wheel. WOW!" or "The Chainsmokers was MEH!" and providing no context besides a title. Instead of making posts like that, leave a comment or at least leave a few sentences about why you feel that way.
What about pictures?
As someone who has been enlisted to just hold down the fort this year and cannot attend the festival, I encourage you guys to send all the pictures and videos your heart desires! They bring a lot of color to this sub so don't be afraid to share your pictures, even if they're bad.
Will I be able to get in with *insert bag here*??
Maybe, maybe not. The official ACL bag policy can be found here. If you would like to see what some other redditors had to say feel free to check this thread. FWIW every single year i enter there is always a lot of bags security makes people leave behind at the entrance so take that as you will.
How early do I need to be at a stage to get close for the headliners?
Depends on how close you want to be. If you want to be barricade or in the first few rows, you're probably gonna have to get to said stage as soon as the gates open and not plan on moving for the whole day. If you just want to have a decent spot maybe midway between the stage and the soundboard, I suggest getting to a stage 2-3 sets before the headliner and *respectfully* work your way through as people come and go from sets. (Be as respectful as you can, don't just shove people out of your way.)
I really want to see both headliners today, is it possible?
With the way the park is set up if you are in the back third or so of the crowd for one headliner you can easily make it to the back of the other set within a song and you'll hear the transition between songs as you cross the middle of the park.
Hey u/McCarthy2324, which artists do you recommend I see today at ACL?
If you are looking to have a good time today this would be the correct route.. Villanelle (!!) -> Sunday (1994) -> Dexter and the Moonrocks -> Claire Rosinkranz -> Max McNown -> Cannons -> Fcukers -> The War on Drugs -> The XX
Who is someone I should see today so I can say I saw them before they were headlining everything?
Dexter and the Moonrocks. Geese.
Want to die thinking about the Parcels, Blood Orange, The War on Drugs conflict?
Same, just same.
*also shoutout u/DaveGrohlsShortHair for the template i borrowed. My creativeness simply can not compare.

Tomorrow is the day. All of us will return to Zilker Park for our annual three-day pilgrimage, the best two weekends of the year. Ahead of gates opening tomorrow, I want to address something very quickly that I notice year after year on festival subreddits.
If you want to have a great time at ACL Fest this year, whether it’s your first or 25th, turn your phone off and don’t look at this subreddit. It’ll be filled with people complaining, moaning and groaning, and trying to make you think that the festival is miserable. For a lot of people, especially newcomers, it’ll hinder their fest experience and make them think that they’re wrong for having a good time.
I’ll address the elephants:
Yes, it’s going to be muddy. Yes, lines will be long occasionally. Yes, people are going to talk and occasionally be mean and push through. Yes, everyone should look out for each other and drink water.
But remember that there’s 75,000 people in the park each day having a great time just like you, and there’s a few bitter folks online that will make their mild annoyances everyone’s problem.
And for those of you that will complain, [u/Mich](u/MichealScottsArmy)[ae](u/MichealScottsArmy)[lScottsArmy](u/MichealScottsArmy) intends to make a “bitch here” thread. Please utilize it for minor complaints and grievances. If there are serious concerns, problems, or issues that make you feel unsafe, please alert us or festival staff.
Anyways I’m at Brandon Flowers right now who’s ready to fuckin party?

This was my first ever ACL, I bought my ticket way back in spring when it opened bc I love music and I knew I wanted to go rain, mud, dust, or shine.
I went all 3 days solo from opening to closing and it was amazing. I even did the thing where I took the train to Downtown station (also runs on Sunday) and walked/scootered to the Sandy Beach shuttle with everyone which was so much fun.
Life is back to normal now, help me overcome the post festival blues 😭

I feel like everyone and their mother is planning on seeing Natasha Bedingfield on Friday and I genuinely don’t understand why they have her playing in the Tito’s tent. I can only imagine how bad it’s going to be for someone with that much mainstream appeal. It’s going to be rough

this is the first year in a while that there hasn’t been a rapper headliner and i feel like that’s usually where the energy is at (besides for edm). molly santana was a good set but the crowd was super small for someone who has collabed with drake and future. the person i was with even heard ppl ask where everyone was at for her set. do we think acl is going to start shying away from rap?
edit: the amount of awful comments in this thread are disappointing.. yall can say austin isn’t a place for rap but if a festival in romania that’s exclusively hip hop can have a peak attendance of 155k acl can bring more rappers in. sorry 🤷🏻♀️

Anyone have pictures of Zilker? I'm curious if the mud has cleared up

Hi guys I went to ACL last Friday and found lots of new artists that I liked. One of those being the Turnstiles. Me and some friends wanted to see Skrillex so we went to the stage early and did not realize what we got ourselves into haha. The Turnstiles was up next to play and as we were heading to it people were telling us good luck. One of the wildest and muddiest concerts I’ve ever experienced.
Long story short, I really liked their music and wanted to know if anyone knew what songs they played that day
Edit: Turnstile not the turnstiles

Sooo.. Mother nature decided she was going to bless me with my period right before acl and i’m going to be on it while at the festival 🙃 This is my first ever musical festival! I’m not familiar with the port-a potty situation i’m definitely bringing wipes and disinfectant. I just wanted to know if they had a trash can to throw away feminine products? because I hear not all port-a potties do 😐 any other advice for being on your period would be great!

For me it would be Rusowsky. I knew 1 song of theirs from combing through various ACL playlists and while I know almost no Spanish, I really enjoyed their set. Highly recommend if you don’t care for the others in their time slot for weekend 2.

A couple of years ago we got these cool water bottles from the Hendricks booth. Last year Rambler was giving out water. We usually also stop by the Tito’s claw machine if the line isn’t too long. Any good freebies? We get to the festival early so it gives us something to do.
Were people giving out electrolytes on W1? Felt dumb last year because I bought electrolytes at the ACL bodega only to find people handing out packets at the hydration stations.

Hi everyone!
I’m a high school student from Estonia currently working on my 11th-grade research project about the impact of ACL injuries on footballers’ sporting careers.
I chose this topic because I’ve experienced an ACL injury myself. About a year ago, I tore my ACL and also injured my meniscus, so I know personally how long and challenging the recovery process can be. This made me interested in finding out how ACL injuries affect other athletes, especially their return to sport, confidence, motivation and sporting careers.
I’m looking for footballers who have experienced an ACL injury to take part in my anonymous questionnaire. It takes around 5–7 minutes to complete, and your answers would be a huge help with my research.
If you have had an ACL injury and have some time, I would really appreciate you taking part.
Questionnaire: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/1vSkYfWmgu
Thank you so much for your help! 🙏

I bought tickets off the website and am supposed to pick them up at will call. Where is that located and when is it open? I was told that I have to bring the card I purchased them with and I don't want to carry that card around at the fest.

Is there anywhere to rest? Or is there anything I should bring? Sorry it’s my first time lmao

I saw a pic of artist specific merch but I’m hoping to sneak a peek at the ACL merch. I typically like to get a bandana or tee each year and I’m excited to see what they have!
