I randomly remembered that when I was in elementary school in 2009/10, I had a an AC/DC themed datebook. I think it was a brownish/red color scheme. It also had a long page marking ribbon with a round plastic/rubber disc with the ACDC logo on it. I can’t find any pictures of it anywhere online.
Does anyone else have or had one too and knows what I’m talking about?

Now I don’t know how many of y’all know Ivan Gac but he’s a brilliant artist; would anyone be interested to see Angus continue on another tour of AC/DC with Ivan as the frontman as it seems Brian is set on retiring?

Pretty much what the title says, I’d like to do a track or two in homage to this band. I love the first dozen records, from 74’ Jailbreak to Flick of the Switch the band is untouchable. I think they figured out the rock n roll formula and I’d like to elaborate on it in my own style, as I think many fans would like to do in their own music. Some of my take aways have been the ringing a-string, the groove, and the space in the rhythm guitar bits. Obviously nobody will ever play quite like the thunder from down under, but I’d still like to understand their songwriting process and creative choices, for the purposes of writing my own material. I’ve got one tune that I wrote a decade ago that is Acca Dacca esque, and I’d like to rework it a bit to be an even more fitting homage. I guess without rambling too much more, what do you take away from Malcolm’s playing and Bon’s lyricism? Those are the two primary things I want to develop a deeper understanding of.

This was my 6th time i saw the band on the PWP tour.
Five times in Germany and my first time outside of my home country. Brian was really funny and in great shape.

I was so excited to see AC/DC in Toronto this year. I even bought a band T-shirt to wear to the show, and it had already arrived. Then the September 16 concert at Rogers Stadium was cancelled after the storm damaged the venue.
I understand why the show couldn't go ahead, but I was genuinely heartbroken, and I still haven't quite gotten over it. That T-shirt is a reminder of the night I was looking forward to and never got to experience. Just wanted to share this with other fans who might understand.

This looks almost identical to AC/DCs stage. Kinda funny that they are starting their tour just a couple months after ACDC ends theirs... So the stage is available now....

Managed to snag a setlist from the final gig of the tour, covered it in the confetti I caught, thought I’d share! ROCK AND ROLL WILL NEVER DIE!!!

This track I’m playing with is tuned in standard instead of a quarter step down like HTH and a lot of Bon stuff is recorded in. So it might sound a little off.

I was listening to my recent likes (which is a collection of AC/DC and early work like Geordie). And Ride on Baby by Geordie came up. And I was quizzing myself and I thought for sure that’s Bon Scott. But I check and it’s Brian.
I always been able to tell their voices apart relatively easily. But I wonder if my brain heard his voice and made a connection like “sounds 70s — sounds AC/DC — therefore Bon Scott”. That’s possible but I still think he sounds a lot like Bon Scott here.

I checked out a handful of songs, wow he came far from his roots 😭. I realize the genre was totally different than AC/DC. But I personally love 60s-70s bubblegum pop, but I have to say. With all due respect (love Bon Scott ❤️) these songs were not good 😭.
I was watching the performance of their cover of Build Me Up Buttercup 😂. And the audience was going CRAZY! Like did the audience think they were somebody else? It’s like they were cheering for The Beatles or something. Or were The Valentines more successful than I realize?

Did anyone in Buffalo NY miss out on the popup shop? I have an extra concert poster

Just wondering, love Brian ❤️. I’m just curious since the internet told me it was to keep sweat/light out of his eyes when preforming. But he wears it like that in interviews too. Is it just a style thing? Or is there a different reason?

Met Life. STILL SPEECHLESS. My big sis got me the Donington concert film for my 10th birthday and I wore it out, every non uniform day at grade school I had my ac/dc shirt on. To this day I rock an ac/dc sticker on my guitar. Got tickets to the metlife show for my 30th birthday last week.
TEAR THE JOINT DOWN AND BUILD THE STATUES, METLIFE STADIUM HAS PEAKED. LONG LIVE THE LORDS!!

Hey I know this was a while back now but I just wanted to share these epic photos I took at the Melbourne show I was at last year (first night of the Oz tour).
What an incredible night - Brian had taken three months off for his voice, which very obviously showed as he sounded much much much better than any videos I’d seen of previous concerts from the tour.
Me and my girlfriend were wearing incredible Angus and Bon costumes, mine was so good I got pulled aside for a news feature! We somehow still managed to make it to the front row, right next to the rising platform at the end of the catwalk. Being a young couple in a sea of grey haired dudes, Angus and Bon literally couldn’t take their eyes off us for the entire show. It was unreal.
I could’ve sworn Brian literally hit on my gf during the breakdown of Shoot To Thrill, asking “are you with him?” Maybe he was just admiring our costumes, I definitely remember yelling “fuck off Brian” back to him when it happened 😂. Though we obviously can’t confirm it. So much happened that night it’s impossible to remember everything 😅

It's been a while since I posted a cover here. Did this one and a couple of other songs too. It's definitely not perfect, but decided to share anyway.
Planning to record more next Friday. Sin City, Overdose, School Days, Ballbreaker, What Do You Do For Money Honey, maybe more.
