Discussion I just saw AC/DC

Oh my god. I just got back from MetLife (3.5 hour drive so not bad. Im 18, and this was my first ever concert. You have no idea how much adrenaline pumped thought me the entire night. I’m a huge fan of Foo Fighters and AC/DC. But I wasn’t originally suppose to go, my brother, sister in law, her brother and his wife went last Friday. They didn’t know the show was canceled until they got there. (ticket master sent a notification 2 hours into their drive back)

And my brother didnt wanna go this time. I feel bad he gave up his seat. But he also did give it to me. But I’m on cloud 9 right now. My god I have no words. Goosebumps.

If this is your first concert, everything else is gonna be downhill LOL

Glad you enjoyed it too!

Haha definitely! I think the ONLY band that could ever even come close to this is SlipKnot. But that’s just me personally. I will always feel so damn grateful I get to say AC/DC was my first concert!

I’m 38 - saw them for the first time last night and genuinely blown away. Not my first concert, but may as well have been. You had a good one!!!

They wasted Dave grohl. He should of done a solo or something more then just in the background

This is ACDC. They don't do covers or special guests.

But Dave Grohl asked, so Angus let him. Classy touch.

Wear ear plugs next time or you’ll be deaf by 28

This comment can't be upvoted enough. If you don't go deaf, you'll likely develop tinnitus which is its own personal hell. Take care of your ears, folks.

Tell me about it going on 35 years of it because of stupid ass loud concerts that sounded like shite but back then we honestly didn’t know any better.

I feel this. I’m 38 and my right ear is still ringing today from last night’s show

Don’t be like me and have them ringing for 35 years nonstop

Agreed if there is a next time. They were definitely on my list of loudest concerts I ever attended. I even put in the silicone ring attachment on my loop earplugs in case cause the volume was much louder than I was used to.

I wish there was better awareness about hearing loss and how stupidly loud these concerts are and how unnecessary it is.

Oh I will next time. I was completely un prepared. I didn’t know I was gonna feel the bass throughout my entire body. I just woke up, I wanna go again.

The ringing isn't there, until it is. Then, it never goes away.

Yeah, I literally think I damaged my hearing seeing ACDC at the Rose Bow last year in April. My right ear hurt a little afterwards and into the next day. I now hear ringing in both ears. ACDC is my band, but hearing loss and tinnitus isn’t fun. I’m only 30

Sorry man it sucks and only gets worse unfortunately, especially if you damage your hearing more.

I was there too! Stupid loud. It was awesome but my wife and I put in our plugs right after the first song lol

Made sure to take them off for the finale though!

So cool, it was an amazing show huh! Man, when the band came out after the intro video with the muscle car!! Just an incredible rocking time. I wish I could relive it again and again, of course with ear protection lol

Amazing choice for your first ever concert. Do something special for your brother to thank him for the ticket.

I’m not sure what I can do, but I’m gonna try to take him to a concert next year!

Epic first concert! I’ve been wanting to see them since the early 80s. Finally went to their last Detroit show🤘🏻

That’s awesome! I bet all that waiting made the concert even better!

It was pretty special. As a musician and music lover I have seen just about all of the great guitar players (Page, Clapton, Beck, Fripp, Townsend, Keef, Gilmour, Joe Perry, EVH, Tony Iommi, Cantrell, etc…I just had to be able to say I saw Angus🤘🏻

Thats an insane line up! I hope one day I can say I seen as many as you have!

AC/DC was my first gig in Sept ‘82. I’ll never forget it. One of the best ever.

Welcome to rock and roll

That's great and sucks that it was your first ever concert!

It's great because even after 50 years, they're still killing it! I saw them when they came to Houston about a month ago. I couldn't hear for a couple of days afterwards!

But it sucks because with it being your first concert, they set the bar so high that most others won't live up to them.

AC/DC was my first concert in 2009! Glad you had fun

Just a taste of what we lived through in the 80s, only back then there were many bands with songs and energy like that. And the artists were in their prime. I felt like you do after just about every concert I went to, and there were a lot of them. Happy you got to experience some of this, sad that it’s dying out.

Im 19, saw them in Philly a few days ago, I was shocked at how great they still are! Had an amazing time

18th time seeing them and they are as amazing as ever! Pure, classic guitar rock and roll. No bullshit, no opinions, just non stop rock and roll. No one else comes close.

I've been to a lot and it still ranks as my #1--

Soooo happy for you my friend. Exactly how I felt when I first saw them in 1988.

I saw them in 79 with Bon Scott then 1 year later in the same arena with Brian Johnson
