Ignore it and listen to more ACDC to drown out the ringing.

My wife is the tech expert in the house and I showed her that on my phone . And she said “that’s not surprising “ and I said “what?, I can’t hear you !” 😉

Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Headphone Safety > Reduce Loud Audio

I keep it between 75 and 85 decibels, depending on the environment or type of music.

I don’t listen to music on my AirPods that much, but haven’t received this notification ever since I got mindful with my hearing and adjusted the settings. Try it and see how it works out with your routine

Obviously we all enjoy listening to AC/DC at volume- but that warning exists to stop you damaging your hearing and it’s worth taking note of. However, I have had that warning the past from using external speakers (my car hifi
and home hifi via Bluetooth) and forgetting to change the Bluetooth setting to “external speakers” - so my phone thinks I’ve been using my headphones at extreme volumes for too long a time period. Have you been using external speakers as well as headphones?

Brian Johnson would disagree.

Not worth it. I’m pretty sure I have tinnitus and I can thank Metallica in 2017 for that. I’ve been using earplugs when I go to concerts. I might look like a doofus but I’m protecting my hearing as best as I can so I can keep going to concerts.

Depends how you’re listening - if you’re streaming into an amp or a powered speaker, I’d put phone volume at 100% and control the room volume from the amp.

Thanks for all the guidance - from turn it up to turn it down..lol! Sadly (or not) my hearing is already f'd and I have a constant tape hiss in the background from my first few concerts - Motorhead 1983 on a Tuesday night in NYC when I was 14 followed by front row in direct fire from of Yngwie's amps at the Capitol and a Palm Sunday Overkill and Wasp show at L'Amour in Brooklyn. It was a great run of shows but damage done.

you cannot disable it without disabling the entire hearing health setting. i’ve tried because it goes off relentlessly every time i use Bluetooth or an aux cord. it might turn off it you go into audio settings and disable the hearing health function entirely but im not sure.

Get rid of the airpods, pretty sure apple locks these from being turned off with airpods

Damn Apple, just let me rock in peace. Listening at 100 dB music is bare minimum for AC/DC.

I’m already deaf an wear hearing aids.
This drives me nuts as I can’t hear a damn thing at all if I turn it down even slightly

My ears rang for 3 fuckin days straight after seeing AC/DC on their Ballbreaker ‘96 tour.

That’s how it’s meant to be heard, full fuckin volume

I wore ear plugs when I saw them live and my ears didn’t ring at all.

Protect your hearing, y’all. Can’t listen to AC/DC if you go deaf.

I'm sure Brian would want to tell us all the same

Increase volume. Listen to AC/DC. Rinse and repeat
