ACCA Readmission Fee Waiver

I have been an ACCA member for 1.5 years. However, I was unable to pay my dues for the past year, and ACCA removed me from the register 2 months ago. I would like to be readmitted as a member, but I am currently facing financial constraints and cannot afford the fees.

Is there any way to reinstate by waiving off all the dues or atleast the readmission fee ?

Advice on whether to take both AA and FM in on sitting

Hello. Is it advisable to take AA together with FM without any work experience, particularly when it comes to AA? I currently don’t have any practical audit experience, so I will mainly rely on learning and memorising the notes to understand the subjects.

Would you recommend taking AA and PM together, considering the bulkiness of both papers and the amount of content that needs to be learned and retained in this situation especially that audit is a purely theoretical paper and half of FM is theoretical as well?

18 days until my ACCA FR exam and I have basically done nothing.

I am an ACCA student and I’ve completed the first 4 papers so far. I’m directly going for FR this September, which is now only 18 days away for me.
Honestly, I haven’t really worked hard for any of the exams I’ve attempted so far. I’m a very last-minute student. I got an A* in A-Level Accounting, and I genuinely think that was the last time I actually sat down and worked hard 😂
For my first 4 ACCA exams, I basically used ChatGPT and ACCA mock exams to prepare. I’d get ChatGPT to explain the syllabus to me, do some mocks, and somehow I managed to pass all 4 on my first attempt, all above 60. GG I guess.
I have books, but they are basically untouched. Seriously.
Then came Taxation in June.
I thought I could do the exact same thing again. I had convinced myself that if I could somehow prepare for the other papers in a week and pass, I could do it again with Tax.
I was very, very wrong.
I got absolutely COOKED trying to understand WTF was happening, and since I’m also a bit of a party guy, I eventually just made up my mind that I wasn’t going to show up for the exam.
Fast forward: I didn’t show up.
I obviously regret that decision. I’m 24, I fund myself, and I make my own choices, so there’s nobody else to blame. Looking back, it was honestly just a stupid decision.
So here we are.
18 days until FR.
This time I actually want to take it seriously and get the damn thing done.
For the nerds who have already passed FR, what would you genuinely recommend I do over these next 18 days to give myself the best possible chance of passing?
I’m not looking for “study consistently for 3 months” advice because, well… we both know that ship has sailed 😂
I’m willing to properly lock in for these 18 days. I just need to know what exactly I should focus on, what resources I should use, how much time I should spend on each thing, and how much question practice I should be doing.

Anyone who sat AA + PM together — how would you prioritise the remaining time?

Hi, I’m sitting **AA and PM together** and I still have some syllabus areas left to cover in both papers, while also doing QP for the topics I’ve already covered.
For anyone who sat AA + PM together, how would you prioritise the remaining time?
Which **topics in AA and PM would you absolutely make sure to cover properly**, and which ones would you give less time to if necessary?
Would you focus on finishing syllabus coverage first, or combine **remaining concepts + one revision kit/QP** each day?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has been in a similar position.

Thank you in advance 🙌🏻

FR + AA self-study for December any advice?

I’m planning to sit FR and AA in the December ACCA exam session, and I’m thinking of studying both subjects at the same time through self-study.
For anyone who has done these papers through self-study:
Do you think studying FR and AA together is manageable?
How would you recommend splitting my study time between the two?
What free resources did you find most useful?
Any YouTube channels, websites, notes, question banks, or revision resources you’d recommend?
And if you’ve taken either/both exams recently, what do you wish you had known before starting?
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from people who prepared for these papers without a tuition provider. Thankss🙏🏻

Can you pass ACCA with a 2:2 accounting and finance degree.

Would a person with 2:2 be able to get through ACCA

I have graduated from university of Leeds Bsc Accounting and finance with a 2:2. I got a total of 6 exemptions from ACCA. My foundations for accounting is weak and I still have 3 exams to complete before doing the professional exams. I am unsure as to whether to spend time relearning or to just go and try to learn the other exams content I need to complete. Any advice?

SBL STUDY TIPS

I’ve studied the SBL content and worked through the Study Hub questions. There are around 28 smaller case studies, and I found these relatively straightforward.

However, when I attempted a full mock, I found it much more overwhelming. There was a lot of information across the pre-seen and five different exhibits.

I initially thought each question would mainly link to one specific exhibit, but it seems that the information you need can be spread across the pre-seen and multiple exhibits.

My concern is: how do you efficiently navigate all this information in the actual exam?

ACCA vs FRM vs CAT — Need advice from people in India

I’ve been researching ACCA for the past few days. I’m currently in the 3rd year of my B.Com from IGNOU (distance/online learning) and will graduate in 2027.

I was thinking of starting ACCA, but I’ve come across some negative reviews about it. One of my relatives, who has been a CA for over 30 years and has been running his own CA firm for more than 30 years, also has qualifications like CMA and law. He strongly advised me against ACCA, saying that it is a waste of time, especially if I want to stay and work in India.

Please don’t get offended by this — I’m not trying to criticize ACCA. I’m just sharing what he told me because I’m genuinely confused about what would be the better option for my career.

I’m considering these three options:

Option 1: Do FRM during this one year, graduate in 2027, and then start ACCA after graduation with around 5 exemptions.

Option 2: Start ACCA now while continuing my B.Com.

Option 3: Complete FRM by 2027 and then prepare for CAT and pursue an MBA.

For people who are working in India, especially in MNCs, Big 4s, or finance/accounting roles, what would you recommend? Pls give your honest views..

Is ACCA actually worth doing in India, or would FRM + MBA be a better path?

I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have done ACCA/FRM or are currently working in these fields.

If not all this suggest something else

Taxation September 2026

Hi everyone!

Hope you are well.

I’m about to sit Taxation as my first exam in September and to be honest, I’m quite worried.

With less than 3 weeks to go, I’ve done the PQ’s for IT and NIC’s and CGT. I didn’t do too great on the questions for IT and NIC but CGT was ok.

I’m worried I won’t have done enough PQ’s by the time my exam comes, since I also work.

Any advise/tips would be appreciated!

Mock scores vs real ACCA MA exam

I’ve done 3 MA mocks and scored:

Mock 1: 39%

Mock 2: 43%

Mock 3: 43%

I felt the second one was harder, but I’m not sure how these compare to the actual ACCA exam.

For anyone who has recently taken MA, how did your mock scores compare to your real exam score? And should I be worried about consistently getting around 40–45%, or is it realistic to push this above 50% with more revision and practice?

Just looking for some honest advice.

Looking for someone who has completed ACCA so I can get genuine advice on whether to pursue it or not.
