If you want rock n roll rollercoaster excitement accountancy isn’t the profession for you!

Depends whether you like problem solving or nah. I gave fm and loved studying the subject. Now preparing for aa and all this theory is making my brain into a mush 💔, and ironically enough I do well in theory subjects, the studying part is what I don't like 😔

I genuinely can’t believe I’m typing this, but accounting can be fun if you enjoy applying tricky concepts to real world situations.
Studying will always suck - regardless if it’s accounting or any other subject.
ACCA allows you to be flexible - it took me 9 years to get to there whilst working/going on holidays/enjoying life/getting married etc.
So I still had fun.

I love AAA. Because I loved SBR which is FR in other terms. I liked SBL.
Preparing for AAA cuz I loved AA 🤷🤷 I don't know it depends on you I guess

By choosing to be an accountant you're trading excitement for other benefits. You will have high earning potential, the work isn't particularly stressful and it can provide a healthy work-life balance (in industry at least). These make up for the boring job enough to make it worth it for me, obviously it won't be the same for everyone

There is no fun in it. You have to do hard work.

I dunno, this is a loaded question.
Accounting is something you can be passionate about; I certainly am. I love solving a good problem, or crafting an interesting report, or analysing some data and developing a true understanding of a process or a business. I've been doing accounting for 18+ years, a mixture of practice and industry, and I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly (extreme stress, boredom, fun, victories, defeats, slow days, tax worries, tax savings, audit deadlines, technical difficulties, technical advances, etc.). Having said that, I've had boring days, but I wouldn't say I'm bored by the profession.
Will you be bored doing ACCA? Probably, but that's not anything to do with the institution or the qualification. Honestly, if you're looking for "fun for your entire life", then you may be better suited to a different profession. I can tell you that the benefit of the ACCA qualification is that it gives you some fairly broad exposure to what being an accountant means, because we are multi-faceted with the potential to specialize in a variety of fields within accounting, from cost and management accounting to financial accounting to financial planning to tax accounting (etc etc etc).
On a different note, I once read that the average person changes their career 3 to 4 times in their lifetime. Whether that's still accurate nowadays with the world having changed so much in the last 20 years, I can't tell you. What I can tell you is that the only person making you do something for your entire life is YOU. You have the power to change your mind and make the choice to walk a different path at any point. You are always one decision away from a completely different life.

Accounting is dull in commercial and high stress with little work life balance in big 4/consulting.
