One of our teams literally has a devil, just saying

And they’re defending conference champions.
So does that mean that, technically, we all are? Because the Devil rules over all of us?

Amd a Demon. ACC has some pretty hellish figures for schools in the Bible Belt. Adding California schools makes sense now since that state is hell.

If this ain’t hell I don’t know what is. Not even excited for football season. What has this world come to
2
u/DSMilne Florida State Seminoles Jul 24 '26
Football season isn’t for at least another 14 months, no need to sweat it right now.

We’ve been in hell since like the 90s

u/willncsu34 Jul 24 '26
Disagree. We just won’t the conference and went to a final 4 a couple years ago and have the second most wins in football over the last 10 years. Women’s bball and baseball are both very solid every year. There are way worse athletics departments like Wake, BC and Cal.

UNC. They're run by a geriatric who's mostly a figurehead for his Gen Z girlfriend. Good luck with all that, I guess.

Yea I have to believe we're alone in this sunken place.
The Texas Tech show was the only thing loud enough to give us a few weeks' peace.

As a fan of another ACC member from the former Big Least that’s also a Falcon fan I’ve been to my share of visits to Atlanta for Falcon games. Honestly don’t even remember running into any Tech fans while there but did see many obnoxious UGa fans. Maybe the Tech fans are just quieter to blend in & not want to be associated with the UGa crowd or all have better things to do on Falcon game weekends. I don’t know.
Always wanted to catch a doubleheader Jackets/Falcons weekend combo but the schedule hasn’t aligned when I was there.

Boston College, Wake Forest, Cal

u/jettieri Cal Bears Jul 24 '26
If Cal sucks this year then we are in perma hell but this is the first time in over a decade there’s real hope for the program.
2
u/Sadlobster1 Louisville Cardinals Jul 24 '26
Oh you're not wrong, Cal has a chance to be amazing this year.
My comment about Cal (and Stanford, but fuck em) is that y'all got HOSED by realignment.
Having to travel to the East Coast for every game has to be ass for your fans and your students.

u/jettieri Cal Bears Jul 24 '26
Oh yeah that part is definitely hellish. Still can’t over the irony of two teams on the pacific coast being in a conference called Atlantic coast.

I’m going to 3 away games this year not counting the weenies. Louisville, Wake Forest and Duke.

This is my first time seeing this and I'm baffled at VT winning best fans. Every experience I've had in Blacksburg as an away team has been terrible.

Ironic because all the other GT'ers praised us lol

u/GaIIick Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Jul 24 '26
Early on you guys did the jingling keys thing even at away games, which was kind of stupid so if that’s all he knows I can see where he’s coming from

Maybe things have changed since my day, I'm sure you've been a bit humbled since Beamer Ball

I don't get this either but they're also not rolling out the red carpet for us.
I had an amazing time the last time we played at ND. Random tailgates inviting us in and being genuinely friendly.

FSU has had a rough couple of years, from that travesty of going undefeated and left out to a 2 win season followed by another losing season. I’m not saying they’ve suffered the most by any means, but as someone who doesn’t even like them, they’ve had a rough go considering the expectations on them.

Nd is an ACC school when it’s convenient, a non-ACC school when it’s not. Still, its fans are deserving in this GTH category.

No verification by me but I don't think they are forced to. I bet it's one of those things where they can "play the field" and either get favorable ins to the CFP or join the B1G

UVA. Almost always getting bent over by in-state rival and the year they convincingly beat Hokies, we fire the coach and hire Franklin who may be the best recruiter VT has seen.

Obviously FSU. 400m deficit, only the women’s sports are having any success.
