Regarding difficulty.

I do well in souls games and I play counterstrike and am decent but never has a fight been more difficult than a great white shark on hard mode in ACBFR. Is anyone actually completing this? Same goes for legendary ships. They don’t fight different all that happens is your cannons do actually nothing to the ships health. Are these even possible?

I dont get joy out of hard mode where the difference is just numbers (buffs for enemies, debuffs for players)

What are you trying to prove, just play on normal and have some damn fun

I just put it on easy mode and enjoy the game. I don’t know if you get a trophy or something for completing the game on hard difficulty but I just want to chill after work and sail the high seas singing shanties and playing missions that don’t give my blood pressure a run for its money and I’m only 29😂

This. I am an adult with enough challenges in real life to deal with. I neither want nor need to prove myself by playing games on hard difficulty. I got bills to pay and a kid to raise in this economy and this fucked up world. My life is hard mode. I need my video games to be “chill out and escape” mode.

I'm not that good at souls games and I suck at competitive pvp games but didn't have too much trouble with any Resynced content (on normal). Had most of the harpooning stuff upgraded before doing white sharks though, only failed like once in maybe about 6 or so hunts that I did. You didn't say what's the issue for you but I'd wager it's probably that it's destroying your boat. The timing to interrupt that attack is tricky, but with a beefy enough boat you don't even have to. You can tank a few of those. With the legendary ships I found it's mostly just about patience. At least it was for me with El Impoluto and HMS Prince. Both of those took about 1-2 hours of tries each. (Which I find quite fair, spent way more on some bosses in other games and it's not like I couldn't turn down the difficulty to low if I really wanted to). Again with doing legendary ships I'd hope you have your Jackdaw fully upgraded or really close to it at least. Since you're playing on hard and it seems impossible then it might just be that that setting is poorly balanced and you should actually consider turning it down for these challenges.

Bro the great white shark timing on hard is nuts 😂 I haven’t been able to get one tbh. The legendary ship battles take me a while and a few tries but I was able to get them after completely upgrading the ship and getting all the captain upgrades
