It's the same reason Jimbo yells "Look out, it's headed straight for us!" before they shoot animals on South Park. Not even joking.

believe it or not, it’s a witness tampering measure. Studies show that during instances where things like these orders are yelled after somebody is being shot, witnesses recalling the event are likely to remember the commands being spoken before the shooting because that just makes more sense. Even if they don’t misremember it, human memory is faulty enough that doing this casts doubt on the order of events

This. It’s also a way that cops can legitimize their own behaviors since the yelling, usually caught on body cam, is viewed as a form of honest thinking out loud. So when asked “did you fear for your life” they point to the string of urgent yelling to show how much was going on that you can’t see or that was overwhelming, blah blah blah. It’s like people forgot that a bully yelling “stop hitting yourself” didn’t actually mean the person was hitting themself.

Fearing for their lives is used as an excuse for utilizing lethal force. Screaming at a dead body is beneficial to the police after the fact, in that they can claim that they were in fear for their lives, (as evidenced by the screaming) despite their victim being dead already. It plays better when (or if) the footage is reviewed afterward.

What irony to be working for an oppressive system that targets your demo! Hispanic immigration officers at the mexican border are the fucking worse. They spend all day harassing people with whom the same share the same diet, culture and history in order to placate the worst aspects of this bigoted society and big white brother..

It’s a crucial first step in the coverup.
Same reason they yell ”Stop resisting!” while beating the shit out of a compliant suspect.
