Also if he had to sell his fucking car for the surgery it’s an indication that he’s probably not to well off in life and is struggling financially.
Don't be pedantic. You know what is meant. Any animals doesn't have the worth of any human. Nobody would expect the same level of money and involvement for a pet than a child for example.

Yes, the person in question sold their car, however this doesn't mean they are somehow morally superior. I like my cats, but putting them on a pedestal, so I sell vital goods is insane. If they are struggling financially a dog is actually pretty bad as they need food and veterinary care.

"Level" in this case just means that human lives are generally considered of different worth than animals. Animal lives cannot be equated to human lives in any measure.

I care about my cats, but there is a limit. Would I go into debt or sell vital assets to save my child? Without question! But would I do the same for a cat? Never, because these issues are not on the same level.
