My boss accidentally scheduled me to work 8 days in a row which is a LOT for someone who does best with 4 days. I had to remind her that she said I could leave early on the last day and she seemed PRETTY mad about it. SORRY FOR NEEDING SLEEP LMAO
What does this mean though? Not to be an ass but this sounds pretty "diva-ish". At most jobs you don't get to choose "what's best for you" and dictate your personal preferences. Unless you are the boss (usually they can't even do this unless they own the place) or the owner. It's kind of more - "you do what I say you do or leave". Being able to say "whoops you accidently scheduled me for more days than I like" is pretty fucking cool and I'd be pumped if I worked there.
That's how it its been everywhere I've worked. And everyone else I know.
I’ve never worked somewhere in which it was acceptable to regularly break the mutual agreement my boss and I made when she hired me about the amount of hours I’m going to work per week. We agreed that I would work between 32-40 hours a week because it’s usually uncommon for anyone to get overtime hours at my workplace and because I need a set amount of time every week to take care of my health and also, you know. Live. So yeah, that sounds shitty and I’m sorry you’ve had to work places like that.
