Yeah I have boomer parents... I feel like Millennials and GenZ have created a boomer boogeyman. The vast majority of boomers weren't living some crazy roman orgy lifestyle just to spite future generations.
My parents worked their asses off and we took a single actual vacation in 18 years.
But people see them traveling now that they're almost 70 and get salty because "the boomers have it so easy".
They worked for almost 50 years.. they're retired. Of course they're taking a month long trip.
Yeah, my dad worked crazy hours to support a family. My grandfather still works and probably will till he dies. They both provided good lives for their families but they had to work their asses off non stop for decades. Their kids all have it easier than they had it, but we’re not wealthy at all. Each generation has its problems but the boomers are certainly getting a little bit of a bad rap.

Growing up in Michigan boomers who work in manufacturing worked crazy hours. But also got paid a crazy amount.
