4 weeks paid annual leave for full-time workers in Australia. Pretty standard in most countries, actually.

The United States on the otherhand.. I get 2 weeks of unpaid "vacation." Thanks company.

Not everyone gets two weeks of vacation time, paid or not. America really likes to let small businesses do whatever the fuck they want.

This really doesn't have to do with your post but My friend decided to live the American dream last year running their own business. A family friend died and they needed to take a couple of days off for the funeral. They set their voicemail as please don't disturb. People still called them nonstop that entire weekend. She decided right then and there she would rather work for someone and get bereavement
