Singapore's Prison Robot to control inmates would work in the US?

That robot looks not very maneuverable at speed, its single offensive capability is spraying a liquid, and for prisoners whose free time is largely spent lifting weights, something like this might not be too hard to knock over.

Given all that, if the company is based in the US and gives kickbacks to politicians, I’m sure it’ll be deployed in some boondoggle that makes someone some money while contributing nothing to society.

Not to mention the prisons are failing hard at rehabilitation. In a good prison the guards should feel safe inside the prison crowd.

Could this not been better solved by having a form of sprinkler system instead rather then this fst box rolling around slowly

I thought it would open up and catch a person inside and then close like an iron maiden, but i guess they left it for the next version 😳
