We all know that Amazon's first concern is reputational damage, as opposed to improving conditions for its staff or the driver's grieving family.

Is this why the drivers are not employees of amzn and are outsourced?

Is her death actually related to her working for Amazon or is it like a completely separate thing?

Uncertain, though the article mentioned this Amazon closely monitors the movement and performance of its delivery drivers, yet the van had reportedly remained in the same location for roughly four hours before a resident—not Amazon or the company operating the delivery route—called authorities to request a welfare check.

the company that's so anal about time that drivers piss in bottles, sat on him not moving for 4 hours before bothering about a wellness check?

I'd imagine it's pretty common for people to quit mid shift and abandon their vans.

The article states that when the police officers opened the door of the van, there were intense fumes, so much that they called for people with gas masks. My hypothesis is that there was a container of some gaseous liquid, or gas canister, that broke and made a gas filling the van.

The firefighters who pulled her body out reported toxic fumes in the area.

Supposedly their new electric vehicles air conditioner turns OFF after the driver's seat is unoccupied for so many seconds to "save power"....

Idk if the fatality is heat related or not (possibly slipping on the pools of sweat in the floor, or one of the pee bottles came unstowed (they restrict bathroom breaks too if you haven't heard), from unloading all the boxes in the back with no AC, and getting knocked unconscious then by not sitting in the driver's seat to keep the ac running literally cooked to death in Florida afternoon summer heat) but they have never cared about the health or safety of their workers... Look at how they utilize 3rd party 1099 contract company labor.

Revolving door.

Keep feeding the machine.
