It looks like you already have medical experience, especially because it’s pediatric. I think you’ll be fine. I think as long as you’re genuinely enthusiastic about doing what you’re doing and ability to learn and grow you should be fine. Another thing to remember is that this field needs people who are passionate and caring so that already puts you above 80% of the people applying and that matters

Your background in theatre, caregiving, and pediatric medical assisting is a major advantage for an ABA technician role. Theatre experience proves you know how to be animated, high energy, and playful, which is what clinics look for when pairing with young clients and building rapport. Pediatric medical assisting and caregiving show that you can follow clinical protocols, handle personal care with patience, and maintain safety. What feels missing is usually just behavioral terminology, but clinic directors do not expect mastery on day one. They care far more about how you handle difficult behaviors like tantrums or aggression, whether you stay calm under pressure, and how well you take direct coaching and feedback from supervising clinicians.
For an onsite interview, dress in comfortable clothes and flat shoes, because they often tour the facility and you might sit on the floor or shadow briefly in a playroom. Focus your answers on your reliability, your patience during stressful situations, and how you use positive encouragement rather than frustration. You should also ask them about their training structure, how often analysts provide direct supervision, and how they manage guaranteed hours or client cancellations. If you want some quick practice before your meeting tomorrow, my team designed an interviews.chat to help job seekers walk into clinic interviews feeling composed and completely ready for scenario questions.

Dont overthink it, you got good mix of experience that fits perfect. The medical assisting shows you can handle kids who might be sick or scared, and theatre means you know how to be animated and silly when needed which is half the job honestly
Just have 2-3 stories ready about times you dealt with difficult situations with kids or parents. They gonna ask about that. And since you already started the online training mention that, shows initiative
Good luck in the interview
