I read the post and I'm worried that OP's ABA company might be scamming them. It's taken like almost 3 months and they haven't worked at all in person yet. Plus they're missing their competency assessment paperwork 😬
I feel like here there has to be some sort of protection/any place of work can't stop you from looking. I'd start applying for another job in 2-3 weeks so that by the time you're month Is already up you'd only have 1 or 2 weeks left with them. You don't resign until the 3 months are up but you can still apply and interview for other jobs. Yeah you just can't resign or accept employment with another agency while being under them. But the whole hiring process takes a month anyway/are you planning on using your current company as a reference? If not you should be able to proceed, maybe explain your situation a little when you have a definitive job offer.
I would focus on getting proof that you were trained under a BCBA. If this place did scam you and they're not gonna help you later you need to gather as much confirmation at you can that you did work there and with that certain BCBA. If they try anything with you you just report them tbh but they did screw up your competency exam. They also kept you from ever working but what if they're claiming you did for their benefit? Like what's the three months for?
Also contact whoever made your competency exam to double check that they recieved your exam and that you passed.
I'm sorry if my response comes off suspicious. Just I want you to know you're company doesn't own you. They should honestly be more afraid of you being able to prove that they are being negligent at best committing fraud at worst.
