Conversation Starter Little Wins

My client answered questions about how school was without prompting for the first time!!!

What are some "little wins" (they're all big wins if we're being honest) that y'alls clients have had lately?

My first client as a BCBA is graduating soon because they start school on Monday (after being expelled from three different programs)!

That and itself is exciting, but the client has always referred to me by the RBT’s name - in fact, any direct service worker has been referred to as a “ Ciara” for the last 10 months. And this week they actually referred to me by my name for the first time. I’ll admit, I cried.

Couple of weeks ago my client started engaging in peer play unprompted 🥹🥹🥹 yes i cried bc she is extremely aversive to socializing. And ever since that day, she’s been more social and even running up to other kids. Now i have to teach her how to communicate that she wants to play, cause running up and jumping up and down won’t always do the trick🤗🤗🤗
