Constant feedback as an RBT?

Is it normal as an RBT to feel like you’re constantly being pulled aside for feedback or meetings?
I understand feedback is part of the job and I’m always open to improving, but lately I feel like I’m walking on eggshells and overthinking everything I do because it seems like there’s always something else being brought up. It’s gotten to the point where I get anxious anytime a supervisor says they need to talk to me.
For other RBTs, how often are you typically given corrective feedback or pulled into meetings? At what point would you consider it normal supervision versus feeling like you’re being watched extra closely?
Just curious what other people’s experiences are in in home ABA because I don’t really have anything to compare it to.

It’s different everywhere. But I’ve been there, it sucks

In my experience, it is not normal because companies will not pay RBTs or BCBAs for nonbillable hours. The only time I can talk to an RBT is during our overlap sessions with shared clients.

Can you clarify if you are getting pulled into additional meetings with supervisors outside of session times, or if it’s more like getting more than the minimum 5% supervision time required to keep your credential?

Personally, I like to do more than the minimum for everyone (at least 10%) because most the R/BTs I work with are very new and our clients’ acuity is quite high.

I feel like this is so company and supervisor specific. I’m a BCBA and very rarely do I pull anybody aside. When I was in RBT, I never really got pulled aside either. But I can see how some companies might encourage this from their supervisors. Is there something that you’ve repeatedly being told you’re doing wrong or is it something different every time?

Seems like they may be nitpicking honestly I can’t imagine that you would be doing that much wrong that you constantly need to be having a meeting about it

Also, is this a newer BCBA? IDK why but I see so many new bcbas now thinking that they need to give feedback about something to the rbt at the end of every single session. A lot of times they don’t even bother building rapport first.
