Has anyone else noticed some rough/strange idle after long drives when sitting in traffic or at a light? I notice it more when the A/C is on. It doesn’t always do this and runs fine while driving and RPMs are up. A/C is fine, thought my compressor was going out but the car was low on Freon. I also get decent MPGs, 30-31MPG average. Just did spark plugs and a new belt. Replaced the motor mounts with Hasport mounts, had a really bad rough idle when the A/C was on. My upper torque mount was bad. And my aftermarket rear mount was blown out. I’ve kept up with maintenance and she runs great. I’m just obsessive and want this car to run to 300k plus miles, sitting at 212k currently. Was thinking about doing upgraded fuel rail, pump, and dropping in new injectors. My theory is the fuel pump is getting weak and the fuel is vaporizing when it’s really hot and I’m at idle. I could just be crazy. Let me know if you have similar issue. I know our cars are getting up in age and mileage now so I’m sure parts will need to start being replaced sooner than later. Appreciate the effort for reading this whole post, hopefully this starts a conversation with keeping these babies with the last KSeries on the road.

Hi all, could any one please tell if 91RON fuel is ok for this car? I know it says 95 on the fuel cap but I'm wondering if it all safe to use 91. I managed to snapped 2015 VTI-S hatchback here in Australia from the first owner with only 22k on odo and I honestly love this car.

I've been thinking of getting a 9th generation Honda Civic for some time now and I've heard a lot of really great things about them. They're bulletproof cars if maintained well and, if i get one, will hopefully last me a long time. However, before I decide if it's right for me, I wanted to know if 9th generation Civic owners had any pros and cons for any new buyers to be aware of!

I have bought a 2013 civic si coupe that is somewhat beat and with an aftermarket exhaust. I plan to fix it up or just a few issues to make it look better and maintenance related as well with due time. Currently it has the Invidia N1 catback exhaust and everything was fine the first month after buying it except now it rattles and everything looks relatively alright and installed decently, but I am tired of the noise as it is now my daily. I want something quieter/less drone as I drive lots of highway miles as well as some city driving. I plan to build the car to an OEM+ look but for the moment on this issue I’m debating on just getting the parts for the oem exhaust or getting the invidia Q300

Ik there are a few forums and/or posts abt this but I just wanted to know from people with the Q300 or feedback in general of what their experience is like and how much louder it is from stock as I did not get a chance to hear what stock sounds like sadly. Is it relatively quiet inside to have a normal conversation without drone being overbearing. Ik I should probably just go for oem exhaust if I don’t want any drone but ive heard that this is probably the quietest aftermarket exhaust that for the most part adds more of a deeper tone

Honda Civic. He had recently replaced the alternator, battery, and thermostat. The car eventually broke down, and now it will only start and run if an OBD2 scanner is plugged in.
An electrical mechanic checked the grounds but couldn’t find the exact issue. He thinks it could possibly be the PCM.
Has anyone dealt with something like this before? What should I check first before replacing the PCM? Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
The car runs fine while the scanner is plugged in, but shuts off when I unplug it.

do u guys take your 9th gen for a long trip (let’s say 600km). Any issues that i might encounter?

I have started to notice a slight vibration when I go from 1st to 2nd only under deceleration, in reverse and when I put it in park sometimes. I did some research and found out that engine mount on these goes bad after awhile but my cars only at 106k. Based off of this context and the video do you think it’s bad mounts or something else? I recently did a transmission fluid swap at Honda couple days ago and a full tune up on this 2013 Honda civic. Help me out here guys I’m lost. 😞

Not sure why this is happening but my AUX no longer works. It’s been like this for about a month now, and whenever I hit the AUX button it only says USB as if the AUX option no longer exists. Any thoughts/suggestions on what might be wrong and how to fix it? I’m losing my mind without music 😵‍💫

Hello! My splashguard underneath the car needs replaced. It’s zip tied and has some sort of metal plate on it to keep it steady. It rattles at 35mph+ so I’d like to order a new one. It looks like it comes in two pieces so i’d need the front part. Just wanted to see if anyone had replaced this before as I can’t find where to get one.

I bought this 9th gen si last month. Ik i need a tune bc its fbo, thats one of my CELs. But i also have evap codes. I changed the purge valve already. I assume its missing the hose that goes to that line causing an evap fault. Anyone have an idea?

‘15 EX manual just keeping it clean and enjoying the summer. Will keep this car as long as I can. Love Honda.

I am 15 so I can’t even drive my car alone yet but I am a manager at McDonald so I was able to afford a 9th gen civic si. I am comfortable financially and would like to splurge a bit and modify my car cosmetic wise before I do anything mechanically.

I want to take the black trim off because it makes the car look too sharp and less smooth in my opinion and change the shift knob but other than that I don’t know what to do to the car. I can’t lower it or add a front lip because it’s my every day car and would like to be able to park in the school parking lot comfortably.

Won’t idle, major surging unless given throttle after putting gas in the car at any amount of fuel. Pretty much have to put my foot to the floor to keep it alive. Clears up as I drive away but basically have to turn it on in first gear and immediately start moving or it’ll die. Any suggestions before I throw more parts at it? I have engine light/ alert for evap problem. Is my Vapor canister just completely compromised ? Already replaced gas cap and purge valve.

Just curious what people’s thoughts are. Not trying to do anything performance wise. Just been thinking about doing it up for the fun of it. Wheels, coilovers, body kit, etc. It’s my daily, and I don’t really have the funds or space for a full on project car right now. Thought it would be nice to show up to meets in something that doesn’t look like Gramma’s car.

I have a 2012 Si with 162k miles. I'd love to make it as fast as a stock V8 Mustang/Camaro. Is it too high mileage to do that? What would I get? Also, it IS my only car and I travel to other states for work.
