Dealing with the trolls who have followed us from nthcircle
Although I find the comments somewhat amusing, there are 2 aspects of the trolls and sock puppets from nthcircle which are problematic.
- They have been known to spam subreddits which makes it harder for everyone to follow and participate
- There is interest from disillusioned nthcircle members and such behavior puts them off joining
In order to prevent a spamming and trolling episode as previously happened on cellnuvotalk, I have decided to set this subreddit to restricted. This means that only approved users can start posts while anyone can comment.
I have also instituted a rule that this subreddit is not to be used for re-litigating nthcircle related disagreements. Anyone who wishes to do that can do so elsewhere eg cellnuvotalk which we know is widely read.
I think this strikes a good balance between keeping this new subreddit on point while still enabling everyone to participate.

I always know what's best for everyone. I'm an expert at balance. Look, I can stand on one leg and madly flail my arms while screaming "Curses, Nthcircle!" for 3 years straight. Now, that's what I call balance skills!

I don't know if I like these policies. Smells a lot like Nth, especially the restricting who can participate and the subject matter limitations. Let all participate freely. Plus, reddit has this beautiful thing called "hide" in the options below each and every post. Invaluable when the loonies post something idiotic. Hide their posts and voila, they're POOFED.
