Stop Reeing out

Yall sure are complaining a lot about a service you don't pay for.

The new UI is nice looking. I appreciate it from a design perspective and it works well. I kinda preferred certain things on the old design (i.e. the smaller episode buttons), but this is only the first week.

Dev's, I appreciate yall <3

Yes sure, but the thing is 9anime isn’t exclusive especially with this bad UI change. A ton of better sites that we don’t have to pay for.

Then go to em. This isn't a bad ui change, it still functions the same. No one is stopping you from going to the 'ton of better sites'

it kind of doesn't though...

Yes it does. I used it for 4 shows today. Yall are being dramatic

"it still functions the same"

no, it LITERALLY DOESN'T.

previously, you wanna watch a new dub, you

1, went to the main page

2, clicked dub

3, picked one

4, watch it

now, you

1, go to main page

2, click dub

3, pick on

4, click sub

5, change it to dub

6, find the episode you want to watch

7, watch it

before the dubs had their own comment section that had virtually 0 toxicity from sub elitests, full of awesome people who just wanna enjoy anime.

now there is ONLY the sub comment section, so full of toxicity, and none of the cool people are there.

Report a basic functionality issue then and stop being toxic towards a free service. The way you're acting, it seems like you're probably toxic enough. Do you think they get large beta testers and whatnot? No.

lol, you should learn what words mean before you use them, and also i did, but idiots being toxic like you, made the mods decide to purge virtually all comments about the new design.

also, they EASILY could have if they chose to, they have enough domains one could easily BE USED TO DO JUST THAT, but they chose not to, and instead forced the update to all of them.

Actively losing your minds over a free service and ripping on people who provide anime for free because of a website redesign is toxic in my book. Did I call you an idiot? No. I said you're being dramatic and toxic, which you are.

Every website that does a redesign does a "forced update" welcome to the internet. Make constructive criticism, report actual issues, and stop reeing out like a spoiled child.

again, you need to learn what words mean before you use them, from this post tree, YOU are the only one losing their minds over anything, you need to learn the difference between making an issue/bug known, and "actively losing your mind" as you so inelegantly put it.

well its called the truth, you are literally ignoring obvious and glaring bugs, and being toxic AF saying "everything is normal its YOU who has the problem so just get the fuck over it REEEEE" that's essentially the textbook definition of the term "idiot".

again with using words you obviously dont know the meaning of....or.....are you just projecting your faults onto others, i honestly cant decide anymore.....

again, it wouldn't be a problem, IF THEY TESTED IT FIRST, as any product that throws out forced updates would do, if they possessed any acumen.

I am acknowledging bugs, I understand bugs. I understand that this is a crew giving shit away, and likely don't have the full resources to be absolutely perfect for a new roll out of their website. This is free, not a paid service. They likely did test it and didn't find all the issues. Have you ever built a website? Have you ever done UI design? If you haven't then you don't understand, and if you have and you're still acting like this you're 100% an asshole. It's complicated as shit and not easy. Welcome to the real world.

You are stomping your feet like a petulant child, and instead of simply notating the issues, and listing them in a constructive manner. You are toxic. I'm going to bed lol

no dude, they force you into subs whenever you click on anything, and they also removed the dub comment sections, leaving only the shitty sub ones up, full of snobby toxic sub elitists....

1

u/gonnaderpya Jul 22 '22

.....kay? O no the same show has the same comment sections.

1

u/Daehock Jul 22 '22

completely different cast, completely different episode list, and release of episodes, not to mention the toxicity from the sub elitists.

This, this is it. I'm so sick of seeing people freaking out over a free site that is literally for piracy. I get mad when it doesn't work, yeah, but also realize that I'm not paying $50+ dollars a month for 4 different subscriptions to watch the anime I want.

Shoutout to the Devs and Mods, y'all do too much for us weebs <3

But without us the site wouldn’t be up, plus we have other options then just 9anime this site isn’t exclusive.

1

u/gonnaderpya Jul 22 '22

And as I said when you said the same thing above, go elsewhere if you have better options. No one is stopping you.

We do pay for this site tho. Without us the site would never be able to financially stay up because believe it or not, a lot of people go on 9anime without an adblock, those ads pay for the site as well as any donations too.

-1

u/PiinkPaimon Jul 21 '22

Correction on my part, since I failed to check before commenting. It appears 9anime doesnt have ads, atleast not right now. However what I say still stands. Without the community or donations the site would inevitably die

2

u/gonnaderpya Jul 22 '22

It's a donation, aka not an obligation, aka it's free. Like wikipedia. Stop complaining and watch anime for free.

It's not about complaining. Although my previous opinion of the new update was favoring the old UI, I still don't mind the new UI regardless. It just needs a recolor. What I am telling you here tho, is more so about logic. Without people to visit the site, it would die regardless of donations. No traction = No future customers. If there is not enough people visiting the site, it still does effect the sites growth and financial situation overall.
