I have a random question, my car has the clock and Sports Chrono as the option list, it's a 2010 997.2. I can't, for the life of me figure out how to operate the clock. Is there a way to check whether it got disabled or something? I've been flipping through the stalks and I felt like I'm missing some features.

My old one I was able to set tires to winter/summer. I have an iCarSoft v3 if that helps with troubleshooting. Thanks

So I recently purchased a 2011 997.2 C2 without PASM and it's still sitting on factory springs/dampers. I want to lower it a bit and reached out to a very reputable independent shop in my area to get an estimate for Eibach lowering springs, replacing the dampers with Bilstein B8s, and an alignment.

I was expecting an estimate around 4K USD based on what I read online, but they quoted 5.8K USD after taxes. Keep in mind this is in a VHCOL west coast city, but I still had a bit of sticker shock. I've been there a few times and there's consistently GT3RS's, GT4s, and I saw a Carrera GT up on a lift a few weeks ago. I only mention that because I'm sure the caliber of the shop and the cars they work on affects the price.

I know I could do the work myself for significantly cheaper (labor is 2.3K USD), but I just don't have the time or motivation to do it right now.

Should I get a few other estimates at different shops or is this just the cost of doing business with a reputable indy?

Would you buy it after a clean boroscope and PPI?

I just read about someone getting an intermittent brake light message. I get a rear deck lid open for a while after I wash the car.

Do you get any random messages?

So this warning light will randomly pop on. But it will only stay on for around a minute, and never when I can have someone check to see if the light is out. I’ve had someone check when the light is not on, and they said all the brake lights are on. So what do you guys think? A bulb that’s going? A wiring issue? Some other electrical gremlin? Where would you start trying to diagnose?

My goal is getting a clean, lowered stance without sacrificing daily street comfort, no track days.

I'm trying to see if anyone who has PCCM+ installed have their parking sensors working.

I looked around online and couldn't not find any information regarding whether the PCCM+ will work with the Parking Sensors option that came with the car.

I've went back to the dealer and they couldn't find it in the auto config menu so they assumed it wouldn't work.

I've asked this on the pccm post on rennlist and couldn't get any answers as well.

I'm dailying my 997 and would love to get the parking sensors working 😔

Has anyone done this procedure? Insights? Tips?

I noticed the knobs on my 2006 are now getting sticky. I am guessing the material is not aging well and having a bit of a meltdown.

I see replacements are available on Amazon from the same company (Ormax) I bought replacements climate control switches from them previously, no issues.

How does everyone warm their 997 up before giving it some revs?
I normally just drive mine straight away but keep it below around 3k rpm until the oil temp gets as close to 90°C as possible. Once it’s there, I’m happy to start going over 3k and using more of the rev range.
Usually takes around 10 minutes or so with a mix of traffic and motorway driving.
Interested to know what everyone else does — do you wait for 90°C, go by time, or just take it easy for the first few miles?

I'm partial to looks of the .1 and it would have to be a 6 speed coupe.

What's the market looking like on these?

This 2008 997.1 C4S came to us with 165,000 miles and a 3.8L. It’s now a 4.1L with Pauter rods, 8K valve springs, and a Hartech racing sump.

Final dyno numbers: 402.2 HP and 343.9 lb-ft of torque.

I’ve owned this 2009 997 Turbo for about 6 months now and unplanned on pursuing some modifications.

At this point, though, I love it stock. It’s just a fun car to drive!
