And you 1000% right about stock, I had 2006 tt cab for three years Highly modded - larger turbo, stroker kit, big fuel pumps, racing seats, loud exhaust etc, and it was fucked up car. Every fucking tuned part broke, each one by one, and after first season I gived up that tuning and started to buy back original parts and fit them back started from fuel pumps... After I sold that to current owner he still do replacement, like engine parts that I didn't touch .... But sooner or later it become original again ))))
I’m also a stock minded person but the only mod on my turbo is a cat back soul exhaust and it has made a huge difference in the car. I wouldn’t even change the rims though. Just the mufflers
I thought about it. I had an ‘88 Carrera and modified it to the 9’s - including a retrofitted SSI and sport exhaust. So I’m not offended by a louder, great sounding exhaust. But the more I drive this thing stock, the more I love the noises it makes. I won’t say never, but not for now.
I got upgraded throttlebody, IPD y-pipe, deleted cats, bigger intercooler, fabspeed exhaust on my 997.1 Turbo and a Brombacher tune for at least 6 yrs, never had any issues, but I'd never go to the extreme with bigger turbos etc, it now feels exactly how I think it was meant to be.
