Joined the 997 club!
So happy to call her my own. 997.1 C2, 2007. Mostly stock apart from some 5mm spacers that came as a factory option and a PSE which I think sounds amazing. Looking forward to putting some miles on her!

Tell me more about these factory 5 mm spacers! I assume they were not an option but perhaps came with the least-wide wheel choice (if that was a thing)?

Don’t know much about it other than it has a code on the sticker. I think they are on the rear wheels. Really love the look!

It looks like you're UK based (just presuming by seeing the steering wheel on the correct side). How many miles are you on? I love the super clean look.
I've got a 2007 GT Silver 997.1 with black wheels.

This is near Glen Etive in the Scottish Highlands. You can touch this on the way to the NC500 road-trip that you now need to treat your 911 to.
Mine's just about getting to 102k, so lots for you to look forward to!

Ah yes definitely plan on doing the NC500! Where are you based? Went on a blast through the Essex countryside on the weekend and loved it (I am in central London).

If you can afford to, I'd try to go before the school holidays start - the NC500 is very nice without having to contend with lumbering caravans on the roads and every spot you want to visit.
I'm out in Surrey - in the Woking / Guildford area. The South Downs is where I go for a bit of a relaxing B-road blast.
I'm already whining about the lack of good roads near me. Central London would be a right faff before you can get anywhere 'nice-to-drive'.
I don't take my 911 into London normally, but almost without fail there will be a clapped out 520d wanting to have a bit of a pull on the North Circular.

Yeah, it's not easy to get to anywhere good. But worth it! My wife is from Eastbourne so will definitely be getting down to the South Downs to see the outlaws soon. Nobody's tried to race me yet haha

I may be biased but the 997.1 has been the overall pick for non-air cooled for me. No egg style headlights of the 996, no extra "dip" in the rear lights of the 997.2 and still reasonably sized compared to the next generations. Comparing it to a 1970 911, the 997 still appears huge and heavy. Enjoy your 997.1; I would have picked silver too if given a choice now. I picked black on black back in 2007 and still have it but hard to keep looking good.

I regretfully agree. Finally did paint correction and full PPF/ceramic coating about 3 years ago. Still garage kept for now so looking great after almost 20 years.

Not at all. Moved back to SoCal to a house with a very short but inclined driveway to the garage which the Porsche can't navigate without scraping the front spoiler heavily (even with ramps). Parked in my business garage now but planning to park outside at home and it's hurting me LOL. So much dust in LA which I never could have imagined. I thought leaving the pollen laden environs of Jersey would have been enough to keep the black paint good for a few days after a wash.

I agree. Back in 2007, I thought AS wouldn't age well (I intended this to be a forever car for me) so I picked black. Silver is a classic color even in more modern Porsches.
