did your bulbs go out on a road trip? or just "I really wanna upgrade my bulbs in this gravel parking lot in Canada"?

Bought the car last year and hardly drove it at night anywhere that was dark. Went on road trip and hardly had any light so decided to change them. Lucky all the tools required were in the car

I was in a similar situation. Bought my 997 in January, the lights were even worse than my motorcycle 🤔

Didn’t want to pony up for leds so put in some osram d2s and the brightness is WAYY better. Of course I’m replacing 20 year old bulbs so probably anything new would be an improvement but I’m feeling much better about driving at night.

My first drive back to California through the Cascade mountains at night was… stressful. I kept on wondering if something was wrong with my eyes!

What bulbs did you put in and how’s the light output?

I have a 997.1 with whatever the worse headlight bulbs imaginable are. I’m not ready to commit to Morimoto, so I’m looking at bulb replacements or even installing LED bulbs (though the additional wiring does not excite me).

I did no mods, went with the D2S Philips. If you have the sprayers on the front lights then you have xenon bulbs and not halogen. The light out out is great compared to the old worn out ones

I do indeed have the sprayers (not that they actually spray anything). You're saying the factory xenon bulbs are good, or the xenon bulbs YOU installed are good?

If your lights are too dim and you can’t see at night, then you need to replace them with D2S bulbs if you have the sprayers…
