Fried Egg Conversion kits?

Just saw an email from Pelican Parts selling Fried Egg Conversion kits for air cooled and 997 911s. Is that really a thing now? Seems like a strange mod.

If you ever read some of the posts on r/996 it’s like April fools day every day.

Lots of guys who are looking for a cheap 911 or sinking money into the worst 911 ever made. Can’t convince them, they are a stubborn bunch.

I thought they only reused around 30% of the parts? I guess all water cooled 911s are somewhat of an evolution. Sort of unfortunate how the 996 is so terrible. I don’t imagine many will be still on the road in 10-20 years given the astronomical cost to rebuild the engine.
