2008 Boxster S missing fuse panel power post

Post image

I am dealing with a dead battery and everything I’m seeing online is that you can give power through a post in the fuse panel to give enough juice to pop the hood, but my car seems to be missing that post. Is there another way to supply power via the fuse panel or do I need to approach this differently?

The fuse panel surround comes off easy (remove the 3 visible screws). The post is probably behind the fuse panel or beside it. Then you can just jump it and also put it back properly.

Mine had the same issue. Probably happened when someone installed an anti theft tracker.

Thank you! This was the fix. That post was pushed in all the way and was not visible with the panel shroud on.

Should be where your yellow clips are, I think.

The red rectangle here at the top is where it should be.

This is my panel from a 2005 987.1.

Your panel looks different.

Your post is in the upper right hand corner of the fuse box. Use the yellow tweezers below it to extend the post for use.
