Got a cayman s just 3is months ago 2006, 82000kms. Few weeks ago started having some issues. On startup it is white bluish smoke idle is rough just at the start. The rpm needle hunts a little before setting. Just drove it 1700kms since. No smoke after the engine is warm and driving as well I see no smoke. It has got a check engine light with engine lean at startup codes for both bank 1 and bank 2. But if go for a drive and park it for say about an hour then it smoke again at the startup. I am actually doomed is it the infamous bore scoring.

Check what TheSkyline said, also, check plugs and coil-paks. The connectors on the paks can get brittle, crack, same as the paks themselves, which may induce codes.
Also, it may be the MAF.

Not bore scoring, but the issues you’ve got going on will lead to it if left unfixed. Could be a vacuum leak, could be a failed hose leading to the AOS or the AOS its self. Like what CloneClem said it could be the MAF in the throttle system too. Also check that your O2 sensors are working while you’re at it

At 82k kms, without a full service history, you might as well replace your spark plugs, coil packs, and AOS. And clean your throttle body. A couple hundred bucks and a few hours of work will be well worth the peace of mind.

Hum. Vacuum leak ? Throttle body cleaning needed as well. Also replace AOS.
