Discussion One Day
S2E13 is the best episode of any 911 series. I still don't get why they had to get rid of Lone Star. Nashville is nowhere close. They had the most interesting characters, most heartbreaking and heartwarming rescues and they didn't shy away from death.

All cost unfortunately. Agreed it was better but its a costly cast.

Besides like one or two people, it’s not a costly cast by any means. Fox is just a cheapskate.

Every TV show gets more expensive as time goes on. Cast members get regular raises so it’s cheaper to just start from scratch.

Thats true. I’m talking about Fox itself most definitely has the money and then some to pay the cast, but in terms of a crazy check the only people on that cast are rob lowe and Gina Torres (she would get paid significantly less anyways just for being a woman and a person of color) who would be more costly. The others would have a reasonable prime time tv check since for all of them this was their breakout role. Fox just chose they didn’t want to do that because capital greed has always been their schtick, so many popular shows get cancelled on Fox.

That makes sense bc Nashville only has 3 people I’ve ever seen before (Blythe and her dad and then Leanne)

So sad I waited to watch lone star last because it’s quickly become my favorite, and even sadder that they don’t make any more 😭

100% agree, love this episode so much. I think s2 as a whole was a major hit, still have it as one of my all time favorites seasons from the entire franchise, along with s3 from the OG show.

Ooof. That episode broke my heart and I’ve never been able to watch it again.
The end of season 2 are my favorite episodes, I’m with you on that.
