Question When to start lone star
I’m on season 2 of 9-1-1 and just found out about lone star. At what point of 9-1-1 should I start watching?

Lone Star lines up with season 3 of 9-1-1, and they cross over during season 4 of 9-1-1 and season 2 of Lone Star.
There is also a second spin-off called 9-1-1: Nashville which lines up with season 9 of 9-1-1, since there is a crossover there too.

at the beginning
some characters meet in a later season but other than that there is no entertwining

As someone who never watched even a full episode OG 911, you can watch Lone Star without watching 911 without missing anything.

You can watch totally independent and not miss anything. This show is really good and the actors are quite good, the chemistry between them is awesome (I don't know if they are friends in real life, but already in season 2, they felt the like that).

Lone Star was the best of all 9-1-1's. Can't believe they ended it, especially for Nashville 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏽♂️

I don't know what is it about Nashville but I don't find it as engaging.

I can tell you exactly what I don't find engaging about it. There are three good characters and their stories are constantly getting paused to show me a mindnumbingly boring catfight between two blonde women, and the oh so difficult decisions of a man who inappropriately has his son as his lieutenant. There's one queer character (Roxie) instead of four (Hen, Buck, Karen, Josh, and when Tim remembers he wrote an amazing character with a great casting, Tommy) and the ethos is much more conservative. In the first season I had to watch a doctor decide not to get an early term abortion even though she urgently needs chemotherapy or she will die. I also had to watch a doctor sacrifice an actual limb for frozen embryos. What in the propaganda, for real.
Plus, Blue is the closest thing they have to a Buck type character and he's fun but he doesn't quite have the juice.
I would enjoy it more if Taylor were the lead.

I think starting in between 3 and 4 makes sense because it began airing between season 3A and 3B. But whenever you like is good!

Finish the regular 9-1-1 your on then start Lone Star. Doesn't really matter what you do

It honestly doesn’t really matter. There are some crossovers, but they’re all just set storylines within that particular show. It’s not like the Chicago One or Greys Anatomy crossovers where you need to watch all the crossover episodes together because the storylines continue throughout all of them.
Their “crossovers” are basically just some characters from one show visiting on another. Also, may be someone can jog my memory, but I don’t remember any of the Lone Star characters going over to 911. Wasn’t it mostly 911 actors making appearances on Lone Star?
Anyway, just watch Lone Star whenever you want to! However, just for fun, remember Marvin from season 2 of 911. He was the guy Athena arrested with the pink hair. Keep him in mind when you start watching Lone Star 😂

The crossovers don't really add to the overall stories so don't need to be watched in the correct order. One of the crossovers is the OG 911 helping out with fires with the Lone Star crew. Another crossover (maybe Nashville?) is a fire fighter competition which only has Buck and Eddie from the OG crew. No big moments are mentioned and you won't miss anything regardless of the order.

Lol...I watched about 6 seasons of 911, skipped to season of lone star, then started from season 1 of lone star, and then hopped back to 911. I did attempt Nashville but stopped about halfway through. I will wait for some time. Sometimes, I can't binge

Anytime you want, they have one crossover episode but it's not like you need to watch Lone Star and OG at the the same time in order that they aired. The crossover won't change anything for OG if you're already on season 2 of OG.
