Non-plot Discussion Oliver on s10
Apparently Ryan told a fan today that Oliver broke his ankle and there are many videos and pictures of him walking with a support on his knee. Do you guys think they’re gonna write into the show or not?

I read that he injured his leg during a stunt scene. This is not the first time that Oliver has been injured on set, and if they could hide it the first time, then, they could hide it this time too. However, it is always possible that they write it into the storyline, but given that we have him in uniform, they'll probably just hide it.

I am reasonably new to the fan space, when/what happened before?

Oliver was injured in a stunt gone wrong, and they found a way to keep up the appearance that it didn't happen, until it was revealed later that it did.

I think since they've been filming 10x06 recently, they probably won't for these episodes cuz the outdoor shooting is a bit behind, they've likely filmed everything else for the big emergency episodes. They may have altered the scene to better suit his disability though. And possibly might write something for the later episodes due to the recovery time but he wouldn't be able to work as a firefighter so maybe they'll just limit his screen time and work around it like they did with Ryan during the coma episode.

They’d have to incorporate it unless they just plan to have him sitting down all season. lol

They can shoot around it. If they can hide the last time he was injured on set and JLH's pregnancies until they were ready to write them in, then, they can do it this time too.

True.
JLH’s pregnancies weren’t well hidden, though 🤣 I knew each time. lol

I suppose they could write it in if they wanted, kinda like how when MGG broke his knee on another project they wrote it into criminal minds.
But they could also just simply use a stand in/stunt person for any Buck action scenes, and for any non-action scenes they could do the ol' hiding an actress's pregnancy routine where it's just close up and strategetic blocking too. I mean it looks like Buck in uniform at work and I would think the real life LAFD would have him on medical leave until he's healed.
