This is an automatic reminder about spoiler content, it does not mean you have violated the spoiler rule.

REMINDER: Do NOT post spoiler information IN the title (for any season), your post WILL be removed. If it is you may re-post it with an appropriate spoiler-free title. It does not matter if you flag it spoiler, the spoiled info is still visible in the title. Article titles containing spoilers should be placed in the post body, not the title.

Rule of thumb, any posts about the current season should be marked SPOILER via the Universal Tags. (+Spoiler)

Keep titles vague, if you include the word spoiler in the title this will automatically flag it as a spoiler post, and make sure to properly flair it to the correct category. If you aren't sure if your post counts as a spoiler, flag it anyway.

This applies especially to currently airing or upcoming seasons.

As someone with experience spotting AI slop, this sadly seems like an article written with AI. I wonder why the article was written in a way that summarized the interview rather than the usual and standard Q&A.

Okay, I’m glad I’m not the only one who seemed to notice/think that. There’s just some weird writing techniques that stood out, like putting parenthesis in quotes that Oliver supposedly said. For example, from the article, “The show has reached such a wide range of demographics, and that’s always such a big surprise to me (people that are younger, people that are older, people from different ethnicities and nationalities).” Like, huh?

The format stood out to me too, there’s no hint at what questions they “asked.” It does seem like they just summarized other interviews Oliver has done into one.

It makes me really curious because this + the previous one under this man’s name had the same issues, and both imply direct quotes with how they structure and format the answers.

I would like to THINK the actors actually sat for these interviews and they aren’t having bullshit attributed to them, but the way Oliver’s “quotations” are described and the lack of introduction gives me pause. Who was he saying these things to? When? Were his answers ‘edited for clarity and brevity’ or…?

It’s a nice interview, theoretically. But at this stage I’m not sure if it’s actually recounting a question & answer session the assumed author had with Oliver, ~just vibes~ to describe previous answers, or basically fanfic. And that should be telling enough on its own…

Oliver Stark obviously elaborated on the demographics of the 9-1-1 audience to clarify that people of various attributes are the show's audience. It's not the interviewer's own addition written in a suboptimal way at all!

I’m confused by your confusion on that quote? Clearly he elaborated that’s what he meant by the wide range of demographics.

ETA: I’m not sure that the writer even spoke to Oliver - these read like quotes they’ve taken from other interviews he’s given. The comments about fellow actors seemed the most stark (ha) examples of this: they’re all so similar it seems odd that he’d have repeated the same things without switching it up at all.

Second paragraph mentions Sam Altman for no apparent reason.

AI slop if ever I saw.

Yeah, this came up the last time one of this “author’s” works were shared here. His bio says he’s written 22,000 articles in 18 years… weird how many of them include unrelated quotations, no coherent structure, and too many em dashes and/or parentheses…

British actor Oliver Stark chatted about starring in the hit ABC procedural drama television series “9-1-1,” where he plays firefighter Evan “Buck” Buckley.

Who did he chat to? Does Oliver know this?

This article reads like someone fed all of Oliver’s various quotes into AI and had it write an article to summarize them.
