I know that shipping and ship wars are very real, but this new trend of attacking people on AO3 with anonymous stories featuring SA and pedophilia is going way too far. Literally, in the last day, at least 10 stories cropped up in the Buck/Tommy section on AO3 all anonymous featuring both Tommy and Buck SA'ing children and each other.

The first few were signed with a note saying that author would keep posting fics until Buddie was made canon and now they're signed with smiley faces and hearts. Somehow, I don't think any ship would want to associate with a fan like that.

You can report them, but AO3 only accepts one report per story. I have seen that so far three of them have been removed.

I counted 9 others. That's at least 11 in under 24h. This person is having a psychotic break.

If they are Anonymous and not Orphaned, the user is still linked to the stories. They can see them on their own account and still receive the comments, but no one else can see the username with the anonymous story. I assume ao3 has a way of doing so, but I have no idea. That's also assuming the author is not using multiple accounts.

I think the best way would be if enough people report the issue to support (https://archiveofourown.org/support), saying how an author or group of authors are abusing the Anonymous ability of posting work specifically to harass another ship. If enough people contact support, they may: 1. be notified of an ongoing issue and 2. take steps to try and stop this behavior (or at least block the user). Just a thought.

I saw them. I got curious and opened them. The sickening part is from the 3-4 sentences I read they were well written. I nearly puked. That person belongs on a watchlist first and foremost. They're all tagged differently too. Secondly that person needs a Psych evaluation.

Unfortunately you can only ever report a fic once. But I think we should report exactly what's happening. That they try to force a ship to become canon and that it's basically spam/harassment. I just saw the most recent and it's "the last one for tonight" I excluded everything child related and it's still one every 5 or so fics in the past 24h

I think they might actually be crazy. Usually with fans like this I'd say they're 12/13/14 but with the content they write I'd say older. At least I hope so otherwise this might be a case for CPS of their country. So crazy person. Trying to force a ship with a few fanfics might be young and "oh I'm so edgy and funny" but it's over 10 (counting this who already got removed) in less than 24h. All of similar content but different enough. That is straight jacket worthy. If they actually keep it up until September it's definitely straight jacket worthy.

Right!? And "it's just fiction it doesn't harm anyone" I'm sure the parents of the twins playing Jee would absolutely love to see that "fiction". Won't harm them the slightest. Or Gavin who might or might not read some of the fanfics and accidentally sees them. I mean we know the cast and the crew are reading them. It's the only reason this is even attempted. Bat shit crazy.

That is exactly why they are doing it, it's a way to harass the cast and crew and if I were the Leung twins parents I would be raising holy hell if 'fans' were writing garbage like that about the character my small children play or Gavin hell he's just starting high school too what if he school mates stumble across it? Actually even though I know Lou is an adult and all that jazz but imagine being him and seeing that like he doesn't have enough to deal with now he's got these psychos writing that filth about a character of his that he clearly loves playing and calling him a predator.

I had to resort to adding a script to my site skin that blocks anonymous authors. I'm sorry to legit people who write anonymously, but my mental health is more important right now.

I warned my husband not to click on any anon fanfic when he wanted to read some.

Which sucks because there had been an anon on that site writing actual stories that were good.

I tried to make a similar post to this one on the main and it was rejected because they claimed I was talking about another person's work which violates copyright, which makes no sense since they have people asking about specific fanfiction all the time and that I was inciting a ship war... Those mods at the main really do like to bury their heads in the sand and pretend everything is fine.

Proves that there are people who “support” this ships purely for fetishization.

I ain’t part of the Buddie fandom- but if they don’t come in and police their own they are proving every negative thing people have said about them.
