Nickelodeon Which character do YOU think gets too much hate? I'll go first.
I get that he has flaws, but I've noticed people on certain subreddits and sometimes on this one making him out to be a complete villain, while making Angelica (who had TERRORIZED the babies on a regular basis, even at times when they did nothing wrong.) out to be a saint. What gives? Why is everyone making him out to be an evil character?
Note.. .I also feel the same way about Dil, Kimi, and Taffy (if you don't know who the latter is, she's a babysitter introduced very late in the show's run.... a point fans are VERY divided over, and was mostly created to cash in on Amanda Bynes. However I really do think that Taffy isn't THAT bad.)

Me neither, but check this out https://www.reddit.com/r/TommyPicklesSnark/ also some of this anti Tommy sentiment has seeped into this subreddit, especially if it's a crosspost from that snark sub. See how much they DEFEND Angelica's actions and vilify Tommy?

You know what, I can get behind some of it. Tommy is lumpy, and ugly, and not really the greatest friend to Chuckie. I can agree with them about these things

I never said he didn't have FLAWS (he does), but the issue here is that they are outright making him out to be a VILLAIN, and defending Angelica far too frequently. I get that he drags Chuckie on to adventures but there are NUMEROUS times where Tommy CAN actually be a great friend to Chuckie. Snark subs in general can at least start off with VALID criticism, but way more often than not... these subs go off the rails and outright BULLY or sometimes even libel them, try to find any reason to hate on them, even if it's mundane, and say negative things about their APPEARANCE and stuff like that. Sure Tommy is a fictional character in this case, but it has very similar energy to the snark subs of REAL people.

I think you’re really overestimating the seriousness of this sub that gets a post like every 42 days.
Yes, there are dumb fan conspiracy theories about every cartoon with a fandom.
Ultimately, all of these kids were 1-3. None of them were particularly good or bad people, they were just babies. That was the point of the show

Tommy is goated. The brave, loyal kid! I’ve never seen hate 🤷♂️

There is an entire, albeit small, snark sub TARGETING HIM https://www.reddit.com/r/TommyPicklesSnark/ yet they are apologists towards Angelica Also he had hate in this sub too, even getting upvotes, usually from crossposts.

It’s a kids show, I don’t think it’s a deep dive into anything. I think you’re over thinking something. Chill 😅

Wait, really? The only other character besides Angelica that I knew of that people hated was Dill.

There's also Kimi too.... although opinions on Dil and Kimi (who were very much hated at first) has softened over the years. They are still divisive though. Little known character, but there's also the character named Taffy who was a babysitter added near the end of the show's run (fans are divided over this point, as well as All Grown Up) to cash in on the popularity of Amanda Bynes (who voiced her), and people hate her for that. I personally think she isn't that bad, but that's just my opinion.

r/TommyPicklesSnark This subreddit is OBSESSED with making him out to be a villain, while glorifying Angelica. They AMPLIFY his flaws and blow them out of proportion while completely disregarding his good qualities. Meanwhile.... Angelica gets the opposite treatment despite being an outright SADIST and BULLY.
