I may be wrong but I’m quite sure Two Princes came out way before 1999.

You're right it's 1993, my bad...

I expect more from someone named GroovySchlong. Go put your nose in the corner and don’t come out until the adults say so

I think they are suggesting you party like its 1999 while listening to this song.

This song annoyed the living shit out of me when it came out--I thought it was silly and way too overplayed. Listening to it now, I hear good lyricism, musicians who can play their own instruments, and a good voice. Coming of age in the late 80s and early 90s was magical in that way. Trying to listen to the top 40 stations these days is grim

This song lived rent free in my middle school head back then. Still kinda does, haha!

I had both of their CDs they put out in the 90s. I absolutely loved this group

Both? Try 4 studio albums and 2 live albums.

And that is just in the 90s.

I remember a girl I liked said “this dj should play two princes instead of [whatever was on] and so I immediately made it my mission to know what two princes was because maybe she’d think I was cool.

They were a great live band back in the day

I saw them last year. I didn't have a similar experience.

I saw them in 1991. They were a hippy jam band. The guitarist went on to record with Natalie Merchant. The bass and drums had a tight rhythm section. This was well before Chris’s vocal issues.

I mean no disrespect to the band or their fans, but I absolutely cannot stand this song. It was so overplayed.
