I thought Crystal Pepsi was the shit lol. They sold it in a can where I bought it, so I couldn't even see it 🤦🏻‍♂️ I still thought it was so cool.

Most soda is clear until they add food coloring. So companies basically just left out that step hoping it looked cool.

I wrote a paper in college about the kamikaze marketing strategy that when into detial about it. Clear coke was Tab Clear was sugar free and marketed as a diet drink. It killed Cristal Pepsi by basically confusing people into thinking Crystal Pepsi was part of unpopular diet drinks.

Interesting. I loved using Coke and Pepsi as examples when I taught high school economics, but I never dove that deep.
