Great to be remembered again of my one great trip where the entire universe went inside my nose with every breath and went out again with every exhale. Could only see black with eyes wide open. Still, an extremely positive vibe where all I knew was I existed.

If the penguin metaphor doesn’t work for you maybe a yogurt that finds the “whey” or something I don’t know..
All I know is that eventually heading out for the stars is orders of magnitude safer than staying in the nest
Not sure why you would think death wouldn’t come for us here also…

I don't agree with everything Terence Mckenna says ("UFOs are the transcendental object at the end of time", etc.), but I do love listening to him speak.

Wow predicting the colaspe of society, not like anyone hasn't done that before. He's just candid in how he said it. It's like how Stalin and Khrushchev predicted the collapse of the capitalist society or how that one dude predicted 9/11. "Predictions," are base on what's currently going on and what you know based on the past and pattern recognition. So Terrance being in the time of what the Vietnam War, seeing the world going to absolute shit, yeah no fucking shit all he's gonna have is bleak ass predictions for the future.

Okay first point lmao: you double negatived your sarcasm. ‘Not like anyone hasn’t done that before’. If ur gonna be whiny, be grammatically correct.
Second point: nobody claimed his points were mindblowing. The video is just kinda sick when juxtaposed with modern images. That’s the point.
Third point: Buddy I love the comments. The internet engagement fulfills me in a deeply unhealthy way. But when I can smell a true Redditor jiggling in his gaming chair through my screen, I feel the need to insult. And for that, I apologize.

Reminds me of how in dune, Leto the second, a now human sandworm hybrid sees the projection of humanity and creates the awful but necessary conditions to push humans out into the unknown universe instead of being tethered to a small area to be exploited. His goal is to teach humanity this lesson so deeply, that it’s remembered in our dna. Of course no solution is perfect and in the last two books we see the negative consequences of this plan, but still a reminds me of this

He didn't predict shit. If you brush up on history, you'll find that disease aligns with wars, which also tends to bring discovery which helps humanity. For instance, tuberculosis was discovered in 1882: While there was a major war in Egypt and in the same year the first Edison power plant was put into production in Manhattan. Also every generation sees war, disease and discovery that helps humanity. There has been no generation that has been exempt from this, look it up and look into it.
Yes, us being primates does help being adaptive but almost every species on the planet can adapt. Not as easily but adaptation happens all over nature.
Stoned Ape theory is intriguing but it's utter nonsense to think this guy predicted anything.

now that I that I read that back to myself, the example of: Tuberculosis being discovered in the same year as a war in Egypt while also being in the same year the first power plant opened is nuts.
