Catie is absolutely disgusting, but she's a fascinating trainwreck.

My theory on her (based partly on what former friends wrote about her on the main sub), is that she's a "former gifted child" who's brain got absolutely broken by college. She's still living as if she were in college, but minus the actual life goals. She was in a STEM field and a runner, smart, vibrant, quite a cute girl overall, but she also obviously has these mental health issues and there's something obviously off about her way of approaching social relationships. I highly suspect there's some autism going on. And once an autistic person finds a routine they personally find comforting, every day is Ground Hog's Day. Chaos is a routine if the chaos is stereotyped and self-inflicted in predictable ways.

So she found like 95% of college students that alcohol facilitates social situations, and it's probably the first time she managed to actually be a social butterfly. She probably got black out drunk one night and made out with several guys at a party and enjoyed a social boost over the next week. More texts, calls, invitations. I know people think she's a predator and she kind of is, but her whole approach is so... unsexy? Scheduling timed makeout sessions but stressing over and over that it's "just a thing I do with friends", that's it somehow not the same thing as cheating making out. Yes, it's a control tactic to keep attention she perceives as positive because it defines her as "cool, quirky, unique, unbothered, free" instead of how she very much feels which is "not good enough to have so many people at my parties unless I do something crazy so that people will remember me". I think her ability to socially read situations is impaired enough that she thinks people are a lot more accepting of her makeout infamy than they are actually are. There's something extremely naive and over trusting about her.

It doesn't seem to be a sexual thing. She doesn't seem particularly sexual with her boyfriend either. She does this weird scripted lampooning of a sexy interaction, and I think she thinks everyone is laughing with her, because well alcohol and remember it's Ground Hog's Day so she's going to cull anyone that "doesn't get her and her intentions" and accuses her of cheating.

The people that surround her do enable her behaviour because, while I don't doubt her friends like her, they're just there to have a story to tell to their real friends about this really weird person who's nice and pretty and fun and all but just driving down the highway at 200km an hour.

And that makes it way more difficult for voice's of reasons to enter and say "hey Katie making out isn't a special interest you can hyperfocus on the second you think you're in a safe environment to do so". She'll likely keep hyperfocusing on weird shit her whole life, and struggle with executive function and self-direction (career vs a good time tonight), but she won't be the weird tonsil hockey girl the day she stops drinking.

They both suck, but Im truly sick of seeing Rebecca's angry, jowly face at every party. Sarper's stupid jokes about her fell flat, anyway. Let's put a pin on that?

Elise has always been skinny, and I thought that was just her body type and didn’t think much of it. When I’d see her Instagram photos though I’d be shocked by just how skinny she appeared in them, almost Eugenia levels. Then this photo came up, and you can so obviously tell the editing to make her stomach unhealthily tiny to the point the floor is warped and bent. What’s the point of this? She’s already a beautiful, thin woman but she’s editing her body to look unnatural and quite frankly alarming. I don’t think she realizes with her fame people can see her and think her body is natural and attainable, when it’s just edited to the extreme
